if nothing else, i would hate to lie for that reason though. i think ppl who lie often have a hard time sounding credible, because they can't remember everything they said since it's all things that are not true! i mean, it's hard enough remembering all the things that DID happen, let along all the things that didn't actually happen! :D |
I just thought of a real one. My granddaddy used to tell me, don't put anything on paper that you don't want everyone to read. I really took that one to heart. I can't even keep a journal.:p |

although i think there is one place where you can keep a journal very safe. a blog. i actually think that it's hard/impossible to figure out who is writing the blog if that person never reveals to anyone. what you think? |

I did keep a journal (2 actually) about my daughter when she was a baby/toddler. I'm glad I got over my silliness to do that because they are so funny! |
My husband says.. 1- Don't worry about things you have no control over 2- It's easier to get forgiveness than permission I say if you believe it you can achieve it! |
The main thing is don't get excited! So true; given time, problems seem to work themselves out. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Forgive & forget; life's too short not to. |
My grandma always announced at family weddings that-- you need to just keep kissing because it makes the fighting a whole lot harder. She and my grandpa were married for 67 years with 12 kids so I totally take that one to heart.:tinyheart:tinyheart And my daddy always told his girls-- to learn to fend for yourself because sometimes there is no one there to fend for you but there will always be someone that needs you to fend for them. Does that make sense? haha. I understand it if no one else does. |

What about, "Don't cry or I'll give you something to cry for?" My mom used to tell me that all the time. :p |

...Now that I'm getting older this quote keeps going through my head when I wear jeans...... Tight-fit jeans and loose-fit skin are a bad combination |
My Dad always told me.. When someone shows you who they are, BELIEVE them.. Now, if only I had listened to that before I married my first husband!!! |
BJ - HAHAHAHA!! I've gotten *so* much good advice. i can't possibly narrow it down to one. I got this from Barnyard (the movie) :p A strong man stands up for himself. a stronger man stands up for others. My acting teacher gives great advice. I always have something handy to write down what she says...cause you never know when something inspirational is gonna pop out! :p Some of my favorites from her: "Do the right thing, no matter what. Do the right thing without expecting anything in return and without expecting anyone to notice. Do it because you know it's right." "You need to surround yourself with people who will cause you pain when necessary, and then stick with you through the pain." (she was talking about making sure that everyone you surround yourself with really has your best interest at heart). "Follow your dreams no matter what they are. Don't let someone else talk you into doing something you don't want to do. If your dream is to work in a gas station - then do it. But do it with the intention of doing it well." My parents don't have any particular advice...but they always encourage to follow my dreams. |
