It makes them smaller so you can pass them. 1 gallon distilled water- squeeze in 5 lemons --- add 2 cups raw organic apple cider vinegar ( Braggs is best) Drink every day for 2 weeks. Has anyone had these before? And i rarely drink soda, they said i was dehydrated and you can also get it from certain foods. I have no idea what to eat, and my mom is not here, only my bf. He spent the whole day with me and also my grandmother. I feel so sick, does anyone have experience with this?

I am so sorry to hear you have kidney stones.I had them 7 yrs ago with my last son.I had to drink lots of water to pass them and your diet should be semi liquid.water is the most important in helping pass them.I hope you feel better soon.

I however on the 10th just got released from the hospital for my appendix.I went in new years day.horrible pain but in different areas of the body than kidneys.

That makes sense. Vinegar is used for just about everything. You can use it to clean your ears, clean your dogs ears, clean your carpet, clean your coffee maker, it just breaks down everything! I might make this and drink it just as a preventative! All the women in my family have had kidney stones, so it couldn't hurt anything thats for sure.

oh no! I am so sorry! I know exactly how you feel. I woke up the morning I was supposed to take the Law School Admission Test in 2004. I thought I was dying.

After an all day trip to the emergency room they sent me home with something to help me sleep and told me to drink water. I slept for the next 5 days only waking up long enough to take medicine and drink a glass of water. Finally when they passed I was so relieved to be out of pain that I cried!

I felt a little better today. The pain meds really work, i dont feel much pain in my lower abdominal anymore, it was sooo bad, i could feel it in my back as well. But today i didnt as much, i could still feel something there which was uncomfortable but not like yesterday. Also i felt nauseas today as well, i was kinda dizzy but i took the meds they gave me, they gave me antibiotics, motrin and vicodin, which i am too scared to take cause i have heard of all these ppl that get addicted to it like celebs, etc. I will only take that if the pain is unbearable. They still haven't come out yet, i am drinking tons of water, and tried to eat something but only ate once today cause of the nausea. I still cant believe how much pain i was in yesterday. I remember thinking, if this is how it feels to give birth, or if it's worse i dont think i ever want to have kids. im still reading all the replies and am going to do what you guys suggest, thank you so much for the advice

Sarah, I hope you're starting to feel better.
About the vicodin, please take it if you start feeling pain. Do not let the pain get so bad that you have to go back to the hospital. You will not become adicted with one or two perscriptions.
I was on vicodin and darvocet from August until November for sinus surgery and colon surgery. When I didn't have the pain anymore I quit taking it & threw away the rest.
Prayers that you pass those stones soon and recover quick.

I hope you are feeling better. My sister just called and told me that her BF has kidney stones! They had to rush him into emergency and they gave him some pain meds and a thing that he pees into to make sure they come out. He got hurt a few months back on the job so I don't think he has insurance either.

hun if the vicodin is the only thing that takes the pain away I don't think you would get hooked just taking maybe one or two a day for no more than 3 days(just dont take them with ANY kind of alcohol!) very dangerous just until the pain subsides. If you're not comfortable with it them by all means stay away but I had a 3rd degree burn on my leg a few years ago and it was the only thing that helped. I would cut them in half and take with a full glass of milk and a couple of crackers and it helped me a lot it was the only thing that made it bearable. They are there for a reason but if you can get by with the motrin then take that instead! good luck! hope you feel better real soon
