| nope. it just APPEARS to grow faster because it looks all the same length. hair is dead once it comes out of your scalp. cutting the ends off it isn't going to make the root grow any quicker. Now if you had LONG hair, like down to your butt or knees or whatever-I think cutting it could make it grow faster because it would be less weight pulling on the root.

| Hair typically grows about 1/2 inch a month, some slower some faster. If you want to donate it to like locks of love, you do know, it has to be virgin hair, right? |

| it's never been dyed, but they will take dyed or permed hair as long as you haven't bleached it. The only bleaching i've had done is by the sun |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i wanted to donate my hair in the past. it took soooooo long to grow out. my hair was down to about the middle of my back when i cut it. i couldn't take it anymore. i could have donated it if i gave myself a really short bob cut but that was out of the questions.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | yeah its absolutely horrible in the winter because it gets so dry from being so long. and then if i put product in it it would become greasy. i just couldn't win. then when it started to get warmer the hair all stuck to my neck. so i started wearing it up in a clip but the ends were still long enough to touch the back of my neck and i got a rash LOL i got like this prickly heat rash or something.

| Marci, if you aren't set on donating it to Locks of Love, I think there is another organization that will take eight inches.
