I would think it just matter on how big you want the bed, you probably want to be able to fit the bed in the crate confortably. If you make the fabric a little bigger it might not fit so well.

Well, I just cut 3 pieces of fleece then tied the top and braided the three almost all the way down then tied the end. So it has 3 fringes on top, braided down the middle then 3 fringes on bottom. He loves it. He has been playing with it all morning.

oh, okay. I didn't know if you used the fleece or some sort of rope. I have seen the fleece bones in the store and my boy likes his fleece chew that cindy made him. I have been looking for some rope to actually make my boy a rope bone, but not sure where to get the rope. He loves his ropes...

Try the fleece rope. If you braid it tight it is hard. Lucky likes the ropes to but he likes the fleece ones just as good. He has been shaking it all over the place and bringing it to us to tug with him.

I am in no way, shape or form a crafter but I am a blanket junkie and y'all have convinced me I can do this. I have loved looking at all of your pictures!

Ohhh, no way, that isn't dumb! Are you making a bed with the fringe? Or, are you sewing a bed? If it's the fleece fringe type bed then you would measure it a little bigger. If you're sewing it, measure just a TAD over... like an inch for when you sew it. Hope this makes sense.

Well its actually a lady that sales things she makes and that is one of the flannel material she offers so i emailed her and just asked the question..... are you interested in some??? If so i can see if she will sale more if she will even sale me the yard i asked for...LOL

here's the problem, I don't know what to do with FLANNEl..I would love to learn how to sew, make liners for baskets and all that, but I have absolutley no idea what to do with Flannel..thats why I had to cancel my order on EBAY..

Then definitely cut it bigger! However long your fringes will be is how much bigger you'll need to cut it. Good luck!
