| My youngest daughter is in an American Girl book club. She's crazy about the dolls, and has all the books. She has a Molly and a Kaya doll. The books are so educational and teaches them alot about history.

| That's what I loved about them too! I was hooked on the books when I was 10. plus I like the way they are layed out in 6 books per American Girl.

| I have a lot of the books, too. I have (and read) all the Kirsten books and have that doll. I got it about 6 years ago for Christmas, when I was 10. No accessories, though.

My daughter started with Bitty Baby. She really liked her but I LOVED her! The clothes and accessories are amazing and I was a huge baby doll fan as a little girl (and... ahem... maybe as a grown woman too). She had so many outfits and the little stroller and the adorable moses basket and I don't know what all. When she out grew little Bitty she got a Kitt doll. My daughter never got into dolls as much as I did so I must admit many times Kitt's clothes were changed by me. She had the stand and I'd see Kitt up on her armoire wearing the same clothes and I couldn't stand it. Especially if it was a holiday. It's December- why isn't Kitt in her Christmas dress yet?!! When she outgrew Kitt I got her Spring Pearl- one of the little collector dolls who represent different cultures. She read the book but had no interest in the doll so I finally admitted defeat. She loved all of the American Girl books though.
