| Colon Cleansers I heard a radio ad advertising a colon cleanser and then went on line. It seems like there are a ton of products, each promising to be the best. If you are currently using one or have used one in the past, please share your experiences both good and bad. Do they really work as advertised and give you more energy or do they just turn you into a poop machine? |

| I would not do that. I'd be afraid that you would lose valuable bacteria plus make your electrolite's (spelling?) out of balance. I have Crohns Disease and absolutely dread having to "cleanse" prior to a colonoscopy. On the other hand, maybe what you are referring to is not as strong of stuff as what I am thinking about. But still, I wouldn't mess with "nature".

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Did you use both the colon cleansing and the toxic cleaning packages at the same time? or did you use the colon one first then added the toxic one in the second month?

| Dr. Natura .... I have been taking the Colonix for several years. I have a "Mal rotated Colon" and have always had problems. This is great ... not at all like taking a "laxative". I believe the 2-3 month program is what I took in the beginning and continued taking the Colonix ever since. This is from the website: The Colonix Intestinal Cleanser is a fiber supplement that cleanses the colon of accumulated toxic build-up and prevents the formation of new build-up through the use of herbal dietary fiber. [/B]Continued use of the Colonix Intestinal Cleanser keeps the digestive tract from getting clogged up with mucus, toxins and metabolic waste. It helps to keep the colon clean and waste matter moving freely and efficiently. Fiber also helps maintain a healthy intestinal flora and absorbs toxins in the colon by creating a spongy, gelatinous mass in the bowels. By swelling and absorbing fluids, it breaks down and moves toxic waste matter stuck in the folds and crevices of the colon. A clean colon inhibits harmful bacteria and parasites from surviving on human waste. [/I]Paranil is a specific combination of 18 high-quality herbs that have been successfully used for thousands of years. It is powerful yet safe and well tolerated by adults. [/I] [/I]KleriTea for Regularity and Detoxification helps to restore normal bowel function and promote regularity. KleriTea has a laxative effect on the bowels while assisting in the detoxification process. It has a soothing effect on the nervous system, making it an ideal beverage before bed. It contains no caffeine.[/I] Good luck!

| I also use Dr Natura. It does NOT strip you of healthy bacteria! Only antibiotics will affect you to that extent! If you purchase The dr natura system it actually has probiotics that help restore your normal flora. However, I believe you gut is the end all and BE all for your health. I use a different probiotic on or off the dr natura. I use one with 50 million microbes. I dont think that 8 million is enough so I purchase another one!!! I would not recommend a colon cleanse to anyone that is IBS, Chron's etc. That is totally up to you and your GI MD. But I would recommend to you the Maker's Diet! But if have a healthy bowel I say go for it. With or without colon cleanse I recommend Probiotics. You cant get enough in yogurt or Kefir. Plus all the sugar is bad...it just feeds yeast...and yes we all have yeast growing in us! <steppin of soap box> |

| Last week I spent 5 days in the hospital with diverticulitis. 4 days on a clear liquid diet will clean you out good.
