| Any philosophy people out there..?? Today in my art education class our teacher gave us a quote and told us to write on it... what it means and if we agree or disagree....I need help....what do you guys think of this??? "No arts; no letters; no society; and which is worst of all continual fear and danger of violent death and the life of man; solitary; poor; natsy; brutish and short"

| wow thats class sounds cool... the way i interpret it is how life would be without our liberties... no art.. no letters.. no freedom of speech.. therefore no society.. everyone will be the same no uniqueness ... i dunno thats how i see the quote... teehee. keep us posted on what ur professor tells you...

| I have a BA in art. I had to do all this kind of stuff when I was in school but that was awhile ago. The way that I interpret this is a few different ways; 1. life in a dicatorship. 2. life where every thought, movement, moment is ruled by some one else. WHere you have no control of your own thoughts. |

| I think I got a C in both of my philosophy classes I was required to take. I just had to check out the thread to see if we had any YT philosophers. |
