Does anyone have an extra cook book? Or want to lend one? Maybe we can copy it to give to those that never recieved it?? I would like to help if I can. Who has not recieved a book? |
I am not positive, but I really think Missy mailed out cookbooks to everyone that ordered them. I just don't think she made any extra money to give to YT. She intended it to be a fund raiser and I don't think it worked out that way...I could be wrong, but I think that is the problem with the cookbooks, she didn't charge enough to make a profit. Again, I am not positive about this...that is just my take on her original post on this thread. Hopefully, she will come back and clarify if that is the case or not. |
For Kay and Jaxon Kay, I just this morning finished making something for Jaxon and hope it is something Jaxon will like :D. Seems the older I get the slower I get  it will be in the morning mail. I was happy to be able to make something for one person and their furbaby that didn't recieve their order. Hugs, Patti and Jack and Girls. |

I pm'd Missy telling her that I would be willing to help as well, but she hasn't logged on since she started this thread. I am very disappointed that Missy hasn't put on her big girl panties and come back on to acknowledge the replies to her post. She might be surprised at the number of people here who have offered a helping hand. I find it hard to believe that in this day and time she wouldn't be able to find a computer somewhere that had internet service so that she would respond. I live in a small town and even our public library has computers with internet available to the public free of charge. I'm with altigger74 and Patti-- I would be glad to sew a replacement item for one person who is still waiting for an order from Missy. |
This thread makes up for all the nasty threads around. So much help is being offered to those who haven't received their order/s. Blessings to all of you this New Year. |

Sorry if this was too rude, but honestly, I think it's ridiculous. If she had owned up to her mistakes and tried to fix them, fine, but she clearly has no intention of doing so.... |

If she does not come back, there will obviously be action taken here at YT. I really hope she comes back here - taking people's money is just wrong. However, it is within her power to make it right somehow... |

Frankly, I'm shocked at your reply, many of us would like to help, and she probably hasn't come on because she feels so bad, or maybe something else has gone wrong, financial problems can be devastating, and also have an impact on your health. Can you imagine how bad she must feel? This was so much work, and the cookbook itself is a wonderful effort, she made one marketing mistake and didn't charge enough. People who get banned or suspended were obviously trying to scam members, this was never the intent, and she clearly feels bad. I think if someone could make a list of those members who didn't receive their cookbooks, we could have some sort of donation drive to reimburse them. I'm 100% behind you Missy, and anyone who got a cookbook knows what a wonderful job you did. |

Anyways I don't think its the cookbook that people has not received...its clothing...but i could be wrong. |

I am sad over the whole thing because I truly like Missy....but I am also sad for those that paid for things and did not get them. It's just too bad all the way around. :( |

You ladies are the greatest I love to see all of the support that is showing up on this thread. I'm holding out hope that Missy will make everything right and come back. She's certainly got a lot of support here! She's always been very kind and caring on this site and I believe she may not yet see the way out of her difficult situation. I hope she comes and sees all of the help being offered here. Missy, my sewing is not good enough to be of any help in completing orders(really, trust me on that) and finances are tight, but I can lend you my support as a friend and if there is any other way I can help... I believe you are just in over your head and probably just don't know what to do right now. Financial struggles are HARD. Hang in there. |
I wonder how many people are actually still waiting on orders? This thread has kind of taken a life of it's own. Which is really sad. I stated a disappointment in the fact that Missy hasn't logged on since she started this thread. If she had she would have to face a few negative posts, but the vast majority of posts have been filled with compassion, understanding, and a willingness to help. I understand about having hard times - I've been there, done that. It must be a huge heavy burdeon on her shoulders knowing that some of her YT family are disappointed in her. BUT, Missy is the only one that can remedy the situation. Has anyone contacted her by mail or by phone? |

I wonder if there is any way to find out who paid Missy for whatever product and has not recieved their item so we can sort this mess out. Between myself, Patti and Cindy and any others who offered, the clothing can be taken care of. We as a whole community can figure out a way of dealing with the cookbooks if they have not been sent. I understand the hurt and angry feelings but I would like to focus on the unfullfilled orders first while we are waiting for Missy to come back. I don't know if we can have a thread or something going to let the people that ordered from Missy to know that their orders can be filled by someone else. |

She posted a little over two weeks ago, and at the time her sewing machine was in the shop, and her computer on the fritz. Perhaps, she has been busy sewing and getting out those orders. Maybe her post was mostly about Yorkietalk not recieving much profit from the cookbooks. |

I sincerely hope this is the case -- we can speculate all we want to, but until Missy comes on and updates us we are only guessing. |

This is all very upsetting! I also like Missy and always thought of her as a trustworthy person. If she had come on here and told about her problems, but ended the post with, "I will work on making things right," I wouldn't be upset. She had no words to rectify the situation. It was just as if anyone she owed to was just out of luck. I've heard from a reliable source that she has done things in the past few months that were not necessities, and if she had foregone one or more of those things, she could have easily paid people back or gotten her machine out of the repair shop. I also sew for people and can think of one time when my world came crashing down around me. I had many orders to complete and couldn't do them at that time. I immediately sent refunds to everyone who had already paid and even paid extra to cover the paypal fee. A couple of YT'ers here offered to sew the things I couldn't...and they did...but I would have never expected that I keep the money and they complete my orders. As far as her unfulfilled orders, she has advertised on other sites and her site is open to the public, so it very likely goes beyond YT and it's not likely we could reach those people. I don't think it's up to us to make this all right. This is something she did through mismanagement of money and what should have been a priority in filling orders. When I sewed a vest for one of her unfulfilled orders, I didn't do it for Missy. I did it for the person who had not received what they paid for, because I feel sorry for those people. It is just not right. And...Missy being logged on to her my space account on 12-28 shows she does find access to the net, and I'd be willing to bet she has been on here as a guest which wouldn't show her being logged on. |
I agree Connie, I don't want to help Missy out with the unfilled orders, I would like to help out the people that ordered from her and never recieved the goods. Missy needs to make things right regardless. |

According to another post in this thread, this is an issue that has been going on since July, not something that just started 2 weeks ago when this thread was posted. So how long is "long enough" if some people have already been strung along for 6 months!? |
This is just so sad :(. I can completely understand falling upon hard times and I sympathize with that-- but business funds are *business funds* until an item has been made, shipped, and received in my mind and dipping in to that for any reason is just never ok. I feel bad for those that haven't received what they ordered and paid for and I think it's wonderful so many have offered to help these customers with replacements in this situation. I'm just confused as to why she hasn't come back to see this thread after asking for people's compassion -- which many, many showed to her  |
Thankfully, I received my cookbook, and have enjoyed it very much. Also thankfully, I did not order any custom clothes from her! I agree that only the people that have not received their orders should be helped.....not Missy. She has chosen not to be responsible for the unfinished orders. I, personally, would never take money from someone until the item was done and ready to be shipped. It would be helpful if someone started a thread with the items that haven't been received, then if people wanted to donate an item to those people, they can do so. Good luck to all!! |
This makes me so sad. I always liked Missy and I was shocked to read what has been happening. I understand the hard times and feel for anyone in her position. I have offered to help sew for anyone who did not recieve an order from Missy. I hope those people will step up and let us know so we can help them to feel like they are made whole. Missy, I am hoping that somehow you will read this and please contact one of us to tell us WHo has not recieved orders. |
I did see on her website that one person left a feedback that they ordered in July and its Sept. and never received their order. Looked at if it was someone from another site. I'd think there had to be more than just a couple for her not to be able to issue a refund. Missy we've been friends for a long time and you not coming back and saying anything, but having been on myspace just isnt fair to the people here. There are so many that are trying to help get things to the people who have lost their money and you won't even respond? You just can't say you can't refund the money cause you have no means. Find means, get a part-time job somewhere, anywhere to make this right. Everyone can make mistakes, but its how they handle that mistake that makes the difference!!!!! |
