Missy, sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. I think you did the right thing by coming on here and explaining your situation. I'm sure some might not be happy but if you eventually make things right with everyone then I'm not sure what else anyone can ask for. Good luck and I hope the new year bring good things for you! |
1 Attachment(s) Wow- Brave of you to come on here when you actually owe people. I have never not paid for something, nor not sent something that someone ordered from me. It is the principle of the point here-yes we are all friends on here, but for goodness sake-why would it take 6 months for a vest that you supposedly already had available ( I ordered & pd for in July)? Then when I tried to get my money refunded from paypal, it had been too many days...then I pm'd you, emailed & wrote on your website-no replies. I finally called you in Sept. & you assured me that you would send the vest out & that you had pm'd me-you had been busy & took a job taking care of an elderly person-I never got a pm & now know that you lied to me. Why? I cannot stand for people to be taking advantage of-I guess that I have been too naive & too trusting-Thank God it was only a under $20. purchase! I hope your family situation gets better, but to take $ from others is just wrong! Thanks to a Connie & her furbabies (Maddie & Libby) a surprise came for Jaxon! He looks so cute in his red vest w/paw prints-they felt bad for the way you treated customers-I did not go & complain to others.....or even reply when others asked about you not keeping your orders- This is what YT is about-not lying & stealing. I just saw that Patti is sending Jaxon something too- What a good feeling that brings -she & Connie are truly special people - Sorry this sounds harsh, but what if you were lied to & ripped off? How do you know I can afford to donate 20. to your family fund? |
i am so sorry for all that you are going through:( boy do i know the feeling. if you ever need to talk pm me and i will give you my cell phone number:) we dont have a house phone due to bills eather. Bev |
Missy - I know it seems as if the weight of the world is upon your shoulders right now. I'll be sending my prayers for you and your family Please work on fulfilling all your orders even it takes a really long time since refunding money doesn't appear to be an option. You have been trughtful and although tis has been a while, I'm sure you can make everything right again. |
Wow. I don't really know what to say. I'm sorry that you are going through such a tough time. I think everyone has felt the burden of the economy lately. I know I have and am so thankful that I have not had it as bad off as some others and so for that my heart truly goes out to you. As far as the unfilled orders...it was very big of you to come on here and truthfully address the situation. However, it shouldn't excuse the fact that people are due what they paid for and somehow it needs to be set right. Those who have are feeling the burden of economic hardship too. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this type of situation has come up...I remember several members here scamming others big time by not fulfilling orders made and being banned as a result. The only difference I see is they just disappeared altogether and never owned up to it. I hope that end the end a peaceful resolution is reached for all parties invovled. |
You've taken the first step in the right direction...now continue to take baby steps until all is well with the world. |
A lot of folks are experiencing hard times right now. I'm glad you came on to explain. Good luck to you. I hope everything turns out ok for you. |

I know how you feel., Look I understand not long ago, my furance died in the middle of the night, heating coil died and given we had just spent what money we had for repairs on it. We had only $25. for the month. and it was the first of the month. Buying a new furance was a must it cost us $2500. to get a new one. I had to take a emergancy laon from school to pay for it. After all was said and done,we still had barely any money to buy food. So we applied for aid from the State. Sometimes you need to swallow your pride and do what must be done. But on the hand of those you owe money or things too, it's tough for everyone. period. Your working, not many are. Is there anyway you can get a second hand but not as fancy sewing machine? To use to make the things that were paid for? there's a way. But you do need to make it right. I hope you read this and know that though people are mad, that if you try to fix these it can come out okay. ty |
I'm sorry your life has taken a hard turn lately. Things are very tough for many right now and it's very sad. I'm glad you came back to tell people what happened, but I truly hope you make things right with your customers that had their money taken in by you, but did not get their item in return. Money should absolutely always be held seperately until the customer has received their items and are happy with the product and it definitely shouldn't be spent on other things until the item/s have been shipped out to the customer at the very least. It hurts all small business owners in general when these things happen because it breaks down customer trust. I don't mean to come off harsh, and I'm glad you came back to explain -- but if you did pay other (personal) bills with money that was from clients who never got their items, that is just very wrong and I hope that you are planning to reimburse them their money. YT is definitely full of friends and even feels like family to some, but when you take on the task of selling it is a different situation, imo. |
Sooo....is that bascially it then? :( Just another group of YTers scammed out of their money? :thumbdown I was hoping there would be some sort of resolution one way or the other, but apparently not. :( Sorry, but it reeeeeally just gets my goat when this kind of thing happens here on YT. (or anywhere for that matter really) |

I think she said she doesnt even have internet so maybe she cant even get on here |
oh Missy - just saying what you said will have everyone understanding .. doing custom work IS expensive and your heart is in the right place. No one hates you - I wish I were in the position to help you out but I'm still climbing out of that place I was when my husband died and $$ is tight for me too....I did a few orders this year for Christmas and that helped alot both money wise and emotionally (thank you to those who let me make your cards) !! but I know how you feel - between supplies and postage it's very easy to get in over your head....sometimes life is so hard it makes you wonder if anything is worth it but it it is - at least thats what I keep telling myself.. your a SWEETIE !! Things will get better for you I just know it |
ps - just read all the posts to you - we have some pretty awesome people and please do try your best to get those orders done...I love seeing people step up to help :thumbup: but I also see the other side.....I keep a seperate account for my label/card orders and maybe that something you could do ? Either way - Happy new year - maybe things will turn around for you ...2008 sure was a tough one |
Not the first time nor the last. Quote:
I've been scammed three times here, once with a dog jacket $30. over a year ago. Again same person doggie cookies and another jacket to replace the really bad work. {D ring was even sewn on.} And recently the end of Oct for $500. for a morkie puppy. I paid this person through paypal, and was to reicieve a morkie girl who was huge almost 5 pounds at 10 weeks old. This person was a long time person here on YT and on MalteseTalk. they've since disapeared and PP says there's no money to be had. The bank accound closed the day they got my money and they just left. We're currem;y hunting them down. Hope they like they're money. After the NC police catches them they won't be so happy. Sorry for the spelling but I'm crying while typing this. It's bad, at this point in time I've not really been on here not that I ever felt welcomed,Because of the scams. When I do or had found something I'd love to buy it takes me forever to believe I'll even get it. Anyway, she's stated that she's working. Her husband and her have a 401K plan that they could draw from. Not many people have that. Heck I don't. Some of us are beggin for jobs again none to be had. So why can't she be adult and pay back something. heck a buck at a time to someone. |

How sad that you've been scammed on these sites! Did you not receive a puppy at all or was it that you received a puppy but she was bigger than promised? |
I feel bad that you've been scammed. As far as 401's though, those you don't mess with, they are for retirement. Although I never bought anything from this person, I would also hope she would do whatever it takes to pay people back(money that should have never been spent until whatever it was that was paid for was shipped out). I'm sure she has money every month with her and hubby are working. One thing I can't stand are dishonest people! |

I am so very sorry that you have been scammed by YT members. I will be glad to send you some treats to make up for the ones you never received. |

Somewhere out there is a speical little one who wants a lap to spoil them. Reason behind my not finding a local pup though my paper is that most times they are not really healthy. or if a pure so far out of standard. I've seen yorkies that look like chihuahuas or almost like a airdale? Which is scarey. |

Connie, that was so nice of you to make the vest for Jaxon, I just saw his picture gosh does he look like one handsome little dude in his new pretty vest :) your among one of those top seamstress's here at YT, honest and forthright in aiming to please. Besides that what more can I say about you Connie, cept to say how much Jack and I love you and feel like you are part of our family. Linda with FuFuFashions is another that words can't begin to express the kindness this lady has shown to many, and the beautiful work she has done for many people. Papi especially loved all the beautiful things you made for his little girl :) there again showing the love from your heart and another wonderful YT'er beautiful seamstress. Cindy Chattiesmom, you are another always there aiming to please and I think that our girls were so lucky to get the gift at Christmas of some of your delicious treats from a wonderful YT'er. I hear you also are a beautiful seamstress, I would say that YT is very lucky to have all you fine ladies here to please making and selling items to others. Amongst the ladies I have mentioned above, there are countless other folks here at YT that are hard working and ready to please with making and fulfilling promptly orders they receive and they are very deserving of your trust in ordering from them. I hope anyone reading this won't feel that they have lost faith in doing business with others, this is wonderful community and much to be proud of. It can also be said maybe there are instances when maybe some YT'ers do order something from someone and the person making the product sends it out with good faith that they will receive payment................ but then the buyer doesn't come forth with payment :( I personally think it is a good policy to pay upfront when ordering anything.... I don't make and sell, but I sure in the heck know what it is to sew and spend time and money on the items made and would hate like heck not to get paid for it. I'm sorry for the long post but I sincerely hope that you Missy are able to read the posts here and will do your best to make it right. I hope you and your family a better beginning in the New Year and that things will be better for so many people that are in the same situation as you. I definately would have loaned you one of my machines if I lived close by, maybe you could borrow one from someone to fulfill your orders. Missy you used the word hate, I don't think there is really a YT member here that I know of that would ever, ever feel that way. Hurt and dissapointed very much so that should be enough to do your best to make every effort on your part to keep in touch with them and fulfill each and every order. Hugs, from Patti and Jack |
Missy I am so sorry you are going through all this...i know how it feels...for i am going down the same path...and it is scary...i am glad to know that nothing bad has happen to you...and i hope everyone else can understand the sometimes life stands in the way... |

I pray for Missy and her family that 2009 sees things get better, times are hard for many right now myself and family included. But, if I have learned anything over the years its that business needs to be kept apart from homr funds. Sure it's easy to say I'll just barrow a few dollars from this account for this reason and then have things fall apart and you can't put the money back but no matter the reason its not smart business. I also understand how the people who ordered and paid in advance feel and they have every right to those feelings. I hope that Missy will at least stay in touch with everyone that is owed and try to make it right. In the mean time, I've gotten alot of help from some pretty wonderful people here in YT at a time when I really needed it for my furkids. I have made so many new friends here that I truely feel blessed. I'm not a seamstress nor am I the worlds greatest baker but one thing I can do is type and print, and I have a libaray of cook books. So if anyone would like some recipes I would be happy to type and print them for you. I know it isn't the same as the books you paid for but I'd like to help if I can. |
I would love to help out any way I can. The cookbook, I don't have a clue about but if anyone still has sewing orders that need to be filled I can help there. Just let me know what I can do to help. |
