It was -10 this morning... :( Tomorrow it's supposed to be around 30, though. So that's a good thing. :)

I'm looking for the recipe for fudge they used to print on the Hershey's Chocolate can.

HERSHEY'S COCOA FUDGE

2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Thoroughly combine dry ingredients in a heavy 4 quart saucepan; stir in milk. Bring to a bubbly boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring to 234 degrees (soft ball stage). Bulb of candy thermometer should not rest on bottom of saucepan. Remove from heat add butter and vanilla. Do not stir. Cool at room temperature to 110 degrees. Beat until fudge thickens and loses some of its gloss. Quickly spread in a lightly buttered 8 or 9 inch square pan. Cool. 3 dozen squares.


Oh yeah, and Happy Anniversary!!!!!

It's above zero this morning for the first time in over 80 hours! It feels like a heat wave! I've been living in the basement with the stove burning to keep warm, I may be able to spend more time upstairs without putting on layers again.

I might be going to see Marley & Me tomorrow!! I'm soo excited! :D I'll be going with my mom, brother, aunt, and uncle. I just KNOW I'm going to cry! :rolleyes:

Wow! I had no idea this thread had grown like this. I just talked to lirix(Jennie/OP) and she said she had no idea it had grown this much. Anyway my random thought for the day....why do people always assume that rednecks only live in the south??? Anyway that's my random thought. Oh yeah and the temp here today was at 60 for the first time in almost two weeks!

I'm missing my old dogs today. :(:( I'm glad that they're in good homes....really I am so greatful...but I still miss them. A lot.

and it's snowing. It's getting kind of old. If we could actually get snow that looked pretty maybe I wouldn't mind it, but all this snow is doing is making the roads disgusting and icy.

As for me, I didn't go see Marley & Me. Hopefully next Saturday we will be going. :)
