[B]Hi everyone, this has nothing to do with yorkies, but I just wanted to share my exciting news....my children's novel is being published, and I've signed a contract for two more! Writing's all I've ever wanted to do and I've been selling short stories to magazines and e-zines for a while now. My main ambition was to have a novel published before I'm 30, and I turn 28 in December so I've done it! when I sent the manuscript off I wasn't very hopeful because I'm unagented and I'd heard that publishers are unlikely to look at your work if you're not represented, but a week later I got an email saying they loved it and wanted to meet with me. I've since signed a three-book deal with them

I can't believe it!!! Now all my friends and family will have to eat their words - they thought I was wasting my time! Thanks for letting me share!

That's AWESOME. Congratulations! It's one thing to want to publish a book, but it's another to actually do it. You should be quite proud of yourself. Keep it up!

Thanks so much everyone for the congrats

The book's being published as part of a new range called WizzBook, which is being launched in February 2009, I think my book is going to be out in the summer. There's an illustrator working on a front cover at the moment so in the next couple of weeks I have to meet with him to see what I think. I can't wait! I know it sounds super-cheezy but it's like a dream come true! xxx xxx

Good for you! Thats wonderful! It's something I've always wanted to do but other things always got in the way! Good for you that you followed your dreams and didn't let anyone talk you out of it!
