Need some advice on photo editing?

Wow, that rocks. I spent some time on that one and decided it wasn't worth posting. The best I could do was white out most of his shirt. I couldn't find a way to hold those faint horizontal lines.

Just curious: Did you redraw them or just take care not to wipe them out when you got rid of the writing?

This is great! Thank you so much. I have quite a few with names on the front like that. A family member who has since passed sent me these pictures. The lady in them is my grandmother who died when my dad was 3 years old. The little boy is my dad. He doesn't remember her but very, very little and no one knows much about her side of the family because they were from NM. Her sister was the one that sent me those and she was the only one my dad knew to keep contact with. She died last Feb. You guys don't know how much I really do appreciate the help.

There may be some more reasonably priced software out there that does what you need to do. I know some people have mentioned Photoshop Elements before. It's a more affordable version of photoshop. Not sure if that would do everything you need to do, but I'd guess it would.

I was wondering if Photoshop has an animation program. People are always asking me what programs to get, I love Paint Shop Pro, but I don't know much about the other programs out there. By the way, it does do a great job on photo restoration.

Corel bought the rights to Jasc Paint Shop Pro, and I was wondering if they have the animation part to their program Photo X2?
