The newer SD-1100... its 14.7 mp. Doesnt have many reviews yet that I can find. Its $400

Then there is the SD990. It comes in pink also. Much cheaper at about $160 ish.... its been out for a while. Its only 8.1 mp but from all of the ratings it seems to be great. I need to get a new one within the next week because we are about to start a lot of our holiday family activities!!

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Unless you plan on printing out 8 x 10 sized pictures...you really don't need all those mega pixels. 8 mp is fine.

Too funny you posted this girl. I JUST bought a new camera 2 days ago because I dropped my older Canon (the PowerShot S45) - I always loved that camera but it was time to get a new one anyway as I had-had it for several years.

I LOVE Canon cameras and think they are the best

Since I loved my older PowerShot so much, I bought another one

The one I just bought is the SD1100-IS. I HIGHLY recommend it! I'm telling you girl, the pictures are clear and perfect and sharp and so is the video. The sound quality is great and the video is crystal clear. It has Color Swap which I love (it is really neat) and it also has Face Detection which is really cool

I would suggest giving one a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

It is the Canon PowerShot SD1100-IS Digital Elph.

Just thought I'd clear that up so that there wasn't any confusion, lol!

I ended up not getting either of these! I think its a canon xt110 or xs110 or something like that! Lol! Just tried it out tonight! I will post some pics tomorrow and you can see what you think abou it!
