| I have never ran a marathon but one of the girls that work for me has. She is doing another one in Las Vegas in December. I am very proud of her. I will be doing my very first 5k the weekend after Thanksgiving. Best of luck to you! Have a great time.

He went to see it this year and decided right away that he wanted to train for next year.

| I'm a marathoner too; but usually only if it's involved with triathlons. I've completed 4 Iroman world championship races (DNF'd one) in Kona and am thinking about starting to train again since I haven't done one since '03. It's so time consuming though and my dh is NOT into any type of exercise at all, so it's all me. Just start out slow and enjoy the race; if you've trained well, you shouldn't have a problem finishing. Good luck (and don't forget to hydrate!)

I've been wanting to do the Penticton race since they first started it, but you have to be REALLY fast (or sign up the minute you finish the race for the next year) to get into it now! It's supposed to be absolutely beautiful and has incredible support staff. Someday, hopefully.......Good luck to your brother; I've got friends in Canada and wish I could race with them other than in Hawaii; it's always kind of anxiety producing on raceday there.

| I started running again recently. I did track in high school but haven't run in a few years. I ride horses in endurance (50 to 100 mile races in one day), and just last week rode 160 competition miles in three days! Anyway, I would like to hear about your training. My best friend does marathons, triathalons and is doing her first ironman next summer so she is my "trainer," but I am always looking for other's training tips and schedules as well. GOOD LUCK this weekend!!!!!!!!!!! You will ROCK it!!!!!!!!!!
