Twalla, If you ever have the opportunity to go up in one. I would definitely suggest it. I have been several times ( living in the wine country) It is the most peacefully feeling. Floating along . And early in the am it is crisp and quiet. If you ever come to California we have a balloon festival every year in September up in Windsor, not too far from me.

I see them all the time while I am on my way to work, just floating along. You have to be careful here with all the traffic, accidents have happened. I hope everyone gets to go up someday.

I love them too....there are several hot air balloon festivals in my area...and we use to go to some in the Tulsa, OK area too! LOVE THEM!!!

There is a ranch out here (more like a retreat) that has them....I can't remember if it was going to cost us $200 each or $400 each to take a ride in one....we didn't do it, not just the cost, but DH was afraid!! hee,hee

There is the worlds largest helium balloon (that's what it is called) in Branson, MO...but everytime we go up there....they aren't going up because of wind....it only cost $25 per person, but it is tethered to the ground since it is helium. I sooo what to go up in it too!

btw....LOVE PippiLong Stocking....Katelyn and I use to watch it all the time...I even bought a pet wig to make into a Pippi Long Stocking outfit (never did though)

oh I just LOVE it! My mom lives in Albequerque NM and they have the balloon fiesta in October every year. So far EVERY Oct that shes lived there, I have been IN a best friends wedding on that week so I have not been able to go out there! I told my friends that next Oct (2009) no weddings or anything.... Im going to New Mexico!! haha

I just love the hot air balloons. whenever I do go to my moms house to visit I get up in the morning and drink my coffee outside and there are usually b/t 5 - 10 balloons out every single day! To me its just an amazing sight to see! Thanks for these gorgeous pics!
