What do you do?? I was just wondering what everyone did for a living...I am constantly amazed all the different jobs there are out there...I am about to be in the real world and am trying to figure out just actually it is that I want to do... I am still a student but as of May 2006 I will be done and need to have clue on what to do next, of well that is still several months away...lol... What about you??? |
Currently I teach Professional Development at RPI to senior engineering students. Before this I taught speech at the University in Alaska. I love teaching college but really want to research, write, and publish so I'm applying to PhD programs for next Fall. |
i am a preschool instructional assistant........ i will be getting my degree in january, graduating in jan, and i will be starting student teaching/credential program after that (that will last nine months) and then i will be a credentialed teacher (i want to teach first grade or kinder) |
By profession I am an attorney but I currently manage my husband's two dental offices. I also do a lot of charity work and I act as attorney for the local family violence center. |
Well, i do my dad's books, work in the store for his business($30/week :thumbdown ) , and today i start my new job! I am gonna be a hostess at a local bar and grille, just a part time thing on weekends mostly. On august 22nd i start college, i am going for a degree in accounting and maybe get deeper into a buisness degree. |
I work as a inventory manager for a few different salons... I like being at the different locations because it breaks up the monotony! Its fun to work with such talented people plus it doesnt hurt that i only pay for product charge to get all my services done! |
I am a PE (Gym) teacher in the inner city in NJ (Newark) and I love it.. I am at a K-8 school but I mostly have the little guys!! Its truely my dream job.. I'm going into my 3rd year.. I am also a graduate student going for my Masters in Health Education!! |

Im a union ironworker. I had been an activity specialist in a nursing home for 16 years. I have been doing the construction for 6 years. |

File b**ch but my real title is Staff Assistant for the American Cancer Society Probate and Trust Department. Basically i get to wait on 4 attorneys hand and foot. pull files, put up files oh put all the paperwork in the files. But hey i like it and it pays well. |
I am the CFO for a local law firm. I handle all of the client trust accounts, to the tune of over $100 million per year. I have to account for every penny :) I'm a numbers girl, so that's right up my alley. I also do all the firms AR/AP, billing and payroll. When time allows, I'm committing all their documents to digital documents. |
I have a bachelor of social work degree and I work as a Prevention Specialist/ Violence Prevention Coordinator for an Alcohol and Other Drug Services Agency. I love my job most days, I will never be rich or famous but I know I make a difference in the lives of kids. I am also the drama club director at our local school and help run our school booster club among a million other volunteer jobs! |
I just graduated this May. I am a Registered Dental Hyienist. I just received my license in the mail a few weeks ago and am on the job hunt! Now it's time for me to face the real world or work! |
I am a writer for our local daily newspaper. I cover the small-time court beats and I also do a lot of copy editing. (I love it b/c they let me bring Sully to work with me in the evenings!) I graduated with my BA in mass communication in december of 2003. My husband just graduated May 05 with his bachelor's in management, so we may be moving soon when he gets a job! For now he waits tables at Applebee's. |

I am a full time doggie apparel designer and manufacturer. And web designer, head of the shipping department, quality control, business manager, and sometimes I get to be a buyer too :D HA ha. :animal36 |

I go to college full time (taking 22 units this semester :eek: ) and work part time in retail (usually 25 - 35 hrs/week in addition to school) as a cashier (absolutely hate my job. I really need to find a new one). School starts a week from Monday and I'll pretty much be killing myself for the next 4 months :( |

In my previous life I was a Program Director for Medicaid Waiver group homes. (all the individuals were developmentally disabled). Now, I own my own doggie clothes company. I know exactly how you feel Shanatink. You and I need to have lunch.
