| Please sign the petition Earlier this week, a young couple in San Marcos Texas rushed their dying poodle to the Emergency Pet Hospital. The owner was pulled over for speeding on the highway. Although the pet owner begged and pleaded with the officer and explained that their beloved dog was dying, Officer Stephens shouted back to him "Chill out, it’s just a dog, you can buy another one" In addition, the officer detained the helpless couple for 20 minutes while he slowly wrote up their ticket, taking his sweet time and spoke to other patrol officers, disregarding the valued life of the owner's dog, Missy. In the meantime, Missy's life was slipping away and eventually he died in the owner's arms. Complaints about how the officer handled the situation led him to be slapped on the wrist by being reprimanded and told to go to counseling. That is not enough and should not be abusing the "authority" given to him by the government. He could have safely escorted them to the pet hospital and written up the ticket there, while the dog was being treated. Below is a link to the full story and also a link to sign a petition to have Officer Stephens fired. Donating YT 7000 Club Member | What a horrible thing for him to do. I am so sad for the owners. I think I would have just driven away. I SERIOUSLY don't have time for people that inconsiderate - he could mail the stupid ticket.
