After spending the first night there, she told me she got a weird feeling from the place. She had been sleeping on the couch in the living room and the bathroom light was on with the door open just a sliver. She said she opened her eyes and saw the sliver of light getting bigger and smaller (no windows were open) and she looked and saw the door opening and closing. She had to go turn off the light to pretend it wasn't happening.

holy crap!!! she turned the lights off???!!!! HELL NOOOOO!! i wuda been outta there faster than u can say GHOST!!! i dont play with that stuff.
the only weird thing that happend wen i just got abby, she wud constantly wake up between midnight and one or three to four (make sense)? then she wud just bark up a storm at the ceiling. that creeped me the hell out.
then one day i decided to take her to the cemetery to officially meet my grandfather and it all stopped!!! CREEPYYYYY

I do believe that strange stuff happens... I've been having deja vus all my life. And when I was a child I used to hear, very often, a woman's voice calling my name, then I would go to my Mom or my Grandma to see what did they want, and they would say "I didn't called you honey" - This voice used to call me 2-4 times a day Another thing is I HATE hallways (I already posted this on another thread), and I've seen "shadow ppl", and things in my appartment disappear and appear in different places (this is REALLY annoying!). The TV turns off by itself all the time (this is annoying too). Once I've had "someone" knocking on the door, then when I answered no one was there so I closed it back and went to the kitchen, that's when a male voice called me from the entrance hall (Holy Man I was completely scared) still, I went there to check but nothing was there... Then I hear footsteps on the hallway towards the bedrooms...again I followed it, turning all the lights on of course but nothing...So I came back to the living room and yelled at it "This is MY home and you better get out of here, or I'll beat you up w/ a broom!!!" I know, that was stupid but I was to scared to think straight...

LOL... At least, it quited knocking on the door and talking to me... But I think "he" was the one, that once when I was on the computer, was standing by me and I thought it was my hubby and said "Yes babe?" and looked up and it disappeared

I totally believe in ghosts/spirits both good (harmless) and evil. I've never had anything super creepy happen but strange things have happened occasionally that I've laughed off that were probably spirits. Like random noises, music turning on or radio stations changing. But nothing like regular, always a one off, so I always thought it's got to do with electricity..lol..For all of you who like movies about ghosts/spirits watch The Messengers

well since we r on the subject.. i had mentioned b4 that Abby would bark like mad at night time. Theres been a couple of more things dealing with my sweet grandfather. he died in 2003 and my sister had just turned 2. by this time u would be able to have a full blown conversation with her (actually since she was 1.5!!!)
anyway, my mom used to always go check on my sis in the middle of the night. one night for some reason my mom said she DID NOT wanna go into my sister's room.she didnt know why but it just didnt feel right! well she worked the courage 5 mins later n came in to check on her and all was fine. the next morning my sister woke up and told my mom that my grandfather had been playing with her the night b4!!!!!
another time it was with my stepdad (my grandfather used to come to my house on the weekends wen he was still alive and watch "spanish musician concerts" and drink a couple of beers alllllll dayyyyy and blast the music too) well my stepdad said that like twice after my grandfather passed away, he was home alone watching these vids. well he says that outta the corner of his eye he saw a shadow moving around in the kitchen. (I WOULD HAVE DROPPED DEAD) anyway he says that he felt it was him and only thing he did was put up his heineken bottle and say "cheers Pedro (my grandfather)" and that was it.
well my grandma says that about a week after he passed away she was home alone. well she was up late sewing like always and then all of a sudden she saw like a mist in the room and it got cold all of a sudden. she then says that she "kinda yelled" LOOK PEDRO I LOVE U BUT DONT COME N SCARE ME CUZ U KNOW IM A BIG CHICKEN" she says she felt normal again.
thank god (knock on wood) nothing has happened to me. i once had a dream that i was coming home and my stepdad was sitting on the steps outside. i asked him wat he was doing that hes dead and he said "nooo im here im just sittin here outside ur house'" i woke up freaked out but i realized that was his way of telling me that he is looking out for us
i had melanoma back in 2006 wen i was 22 years old. i had to have two surgeries in a matter of 2 weeks cuz from the time of the diagnose to the first surgery IT HAD SPREAD!!! my mom had pics of my granfather and i in her room. the pic of us had completely disappeared for days i think even weeks. my mom said she looked everywhere. well after the second surgery, we got a call from the oncologist and said all the cancer had been removed. the picture appeared where my mom had left it that same morning.(WEIRD) well ever since then i have to get pet/ct scans every 6 months. I must admit im a total wreck at this time cuz i would hate to be sick again. well my mom always prays to my grandpa to look after me. the second to last scan was in january. we were all sleeping but something in the living room fell!!!!! my mom and i went to look and my picture had fallen. she had placed my pic under my grandfather's (which is hanging on the wall) as a way of him looking out for me the day of the results. my mom then told me n i was kinda spooked. i went to the doctor the next morning and they told me i was still clean.
sorry i basically wrote a whole book..... i just KNOW my grandfather is looking over us

I believe they are demons, spirits that try to trick you. Last night i slept here at my bf's house, which i hate. I just hate the layout of it, it has a really long hallway. Well his bedroom is at one end of the apt. and at like 4 am i couldn't sleep, and i kept hearing loud noises at the other end near the bathroom. And then i saw Sophie staring at the bedroom door like she heard it too, he lives with his sister and it wasn't her cause i didn't hear footsteps of her going back into her room. I was so annoyed!

Before you start reading this PLEASE KNOW THAT I AM NOT A WHACKO!!!!!



My mom have lost contact with her step MIL when I was a child over some type of stupid argument. She never had children of her own and was considered a "spinster" when she married my grandfather after my grandmother passed away I think in the 1950's. When he married her the agreement was he would take care of her financially but their WILL would state that any inheritance after her death (she was much younger than GP) would go to my mother. About 15 years ago, my mom received a phone call from the police that she had been found dead after a wellbeing check when neighbors hasn't seen her in a few days. As her only next of kin, it was our responsibility to care of things. Our first stop was back to her house to take a look around!

We were accompanied by an officer who let us into the house and it was just an unbelievable MESS! She was a hoarder, recluse and living in filth. Stuff was piled to the ceilings EVERYWHERE! It was absolutely overwhelming what we saw and the smell was overpowering!!!!

Knowing the arrangement that my GF had made, my mother needed to find the will in this HUGE mess. That first day we looked everywhere and came up empty handed after searching for hours and hours. We all went home disappointed.

That evening, my HD and I got into a fight and I headed to the couch to sleep. This was unusual in itself since as a rule, we never go to sleep angry but out on the couch I was. I had just fallen asleep and felt someone standing next to me and I opened my eyes thinking it was HD asking for forgiveness but nobody was there. At the same time I felt someone telling me "look under the couch" and then whatever it was that standing next to me went out the window. I actually felt the person go away from me.

The next day we went back to the house to continue cleaning and looking for the will. I hadn't told anyone what had happened the night before since I know my sisters and DH would have laughed at me and probably called for a psychiatrist. They went into the house and started cleaning and packing up stuff and I was out in front talking to the neighbor who stopped by to introduce herself. She told me that "J" was a very sweet woman that kept to herself and they were surprised she had family. I asked about the day she was found and what had happened. She told me the "J" had not been seen in a few days and that she went over and looked through the window and saw her SITTING ON THE COUCH dead!!!!!! When she told me this I felt all the blood rush from my face and I excused myself and went to find my husband. I told me husband to move the couch out of the room. Right under the spot that she had passed away was a steel box and inside that box was THE WILL, STOCKS, BONDS AND BANK ACCOUNTS!!!!!!!:

I have had several odd things happen over my lifetime. For the most part, not creepy. I sometimes know certain things too and as I've gotten older, I've learned to trust those instincts more. Little things like the phone will ring and I'll know who it is before I answer. Or I'll think of someone and then a few minutes later, they will call. And once time when my sister was 16 and being a typical teenager (by the way, I raised her from the time she was 9)
Anyways, we went to bed and I had one of those touch lamps and a few minutes after I got into bed, the light came on very dim. I was thinking what's up with that? Got out of bed and shut if off. A few minutes later, it comes on again but this time the medium setting so it's a little brighter. I'm thinking that's really weird and I get up and again turn it off. Finally it comes on again at the brightest setting and I'm getting annoyed at this point and get up and turn if off for the last time. Well, it turns out that my silly little sister decided to sneak out of the house and take the car! Obviously, someone was trying to warn me but I just wasn't getting it! The other day, my 4 year old was pointing out the window saying there's an angel, it must be aunt Krissy (the very same sister-she passed away 2 years ago), I kept looking and saying where? and he was getting so frustrated and kept saying right there! and pointing. I couldn't see anything. I asked him what it looked like and he said "an angel" like of course mom what do you think?

Although she was a hoarder I learned from the neighbors that she was also very kind to them. She gave candy to the kids and baked pies and cakes as well which is actually kind of gross since the place was infected with roaches and mice. YUCK!!!!

My DH and I went back many times over the next few weeks cleaning, meeting antique dealers, and also talking to the neighbors. They told me that a few years earlier her home was broken into and she was tied up by these robbers and they ransacked the place. One of the neighbors found her tied to a chair in her living room the following day her little dog sitting at her feet crying. After that, she hired someone to board up all of her windows for safety. How sad...

We talked about how we could "feel" someone watching over us as we continues to clean and empty out the house. This was not a bad feeling but it felt like she was just watching us as we worked.

After about a month or so we had things just about cleaned up but I kept having this nagging feeling like we had missed something. I was drawn to the staircase that went up to the apartment. I really cannot explain this feeling but I took a ladder and decided to look in a little open space above the first landing but didn't find anything. DH found me on the ladder and asked if I was crazy or just trying to break my neck. I told him about this "feeling" and he said that he would take a look. He found a small jewelry box with a DIAMOND RING tucked up inside this opening that I had been drawn to. We took it home and I showed my mom and she looked shocked and ask where I had got it from. I told her we found it hidden @ "J" house. She then told me it was the engagement ring that my GF had given "J" when he asked her to marry him!!!!

On the final day we were there, I had an antique appliance dealer come out to pick up 2 really cool stoves. They looked like the ones that are on Rachel Ray and Everyone Love Raymondreally cool and from the 1930's. The dealer quickly took the one in the main kitchen and then when upstairs with DH to the apartment to remove the other. After a few minutes, they both came back down looking REALLY PALE! The dealer quickly left (MORE LIKE RAN) and said he wasn't interested in the other stove and my DH really looked shook up. He would not talk about what happened upstairs and said that he was ready to leave and would NEVER go back! Believe me he is NOT a chicken or a wimp but something in the apartment scared the Cr@p out of them. The only thing he has ever said about it was that something evil was up there with them and they were NOT happy that their space was being disturbed.



We never did go back. My mom sold the place AS IS. DH has talked about the feeling that he got when he was upstairs a few times since then. I even heard him tell his buddy while sitting around a bon fire how creeped out he was. For a long time after all of this happened, I swear that I would feel "J" around me. At first it was quite a bit but as time when on it become less and less.



****Like I said in the beginning of this story~~~I am not a wack job! I swear that this really happened and if you really knew me and my DH you would know that it is entirely true!
