YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Oh, that is so terrible! I would not have pulled over - I would have kept right on speeding until my baby was at the ER, and THEN he could have arrested me

| I feel the same, I would have NEVER pulled over. Arrest me at the Vets office (not that I think they would once they knew the situation) ... I just cannot believe that cop made the guy wait for 15 mins!!!!! Thats the worst part. Even if the cop said "relax its just a dog but go on to the vet, be careful" well.... thats better than making the guy wait while his dog died right there in the car when the cop KNEW the dog was in trouble. What an A$$!!!!

| Oh wow, what a sad story. I don't know what I would have done. I think I would have kept on going until I reached the Vet Hospital as well. But then that is running from an officer of the law....yikes! Tough call.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This is ATROCIOUS! And so, if that couple had a baby in the car, would this MONSTER say "Relax, you can have another" - no, I don't think so. His behavior allowed a living creature to die - in my book that IS A MONSTER. Period. He had a choice - he made it and it was wrong. He could have just as easily said "Let me escort you to the ER Vet".

| I lived in Texas for a few years, and the cops there are pretty mean. I was fishing one night with a guy friend of mine when I was 17. It was getting dark and we were getting ready to go. A car pulled up with a couple of big guys in it. They assaulted my friend and I ran away. When the cops got there, they told me that spot under the bridge was gang territory and he probably wouldnt find anyone and wouldnt even try!! He was so cold about it. My friend had to have partial dentures at 18 because of this.....makes me so mad.

| I was sickened when I saw this on the news, and the cop said "You can get another.." My husband said that if it was him taking one of our furbabies to the ER for an emergency like that, he wouldnt have stopped, he said he wouldve called 911 and let them know that a cop was after him for speeding and explain the situation. I dont understand how people can just be so cold-hearted and think that it is just some THING... My heart broke when I heard the owner was in such distress and the cop was just "so what" ..... |

| It's so sad. I really hope further discipline is taken against this officer. Just calling it a "rookie mistake" doesn't cut it.
