well sista you deserve a big-ol' pat on the back for that one.... if that would have been me especially if I was having my monthly "moments" it's no telling what I'd have said or done-you should have told her to have a "cup of shut-up" ;) |

I think you handled a very strange situation with as much grace as possible.:) |
Oh what a nerve that lady had! You know by saying something to those kind of people wont make a difference because they just dont get it. So now if I see people like that and they act in a similar way as that lady I would just give them a cold shoulder and continue with my business ignoring them completely. Why wasting your time, energy and frustration on someone who is not so polite. |
You are a sweetheart compared to my auntie! I was in Arkansas visiting her and we went to the Walmart there, well a couple had their baby strolling taking u the entry to the aisle the first time my auntie let it pass the second she move the stroller out of the way and said, "You need to get out of the aisle, I came through here once already, get out of the way." The couple just stared at her like they were amazed, I was like wow! With that lady she would have done the same and told her to respect that! |
why wonder what is wrong with kids today, when there are mother's like that:eek: too Bad, you did not fun over her foot with your cart!!!:D whoops- Excuse me!! LOL!! |
People nowdays do not know what manners are. I think you did great under the circumstances. You should have ask her if she drove her car the same way. I was going to the post office and this guy was walking down the road on my side, right in front of me. There was another car coming toward me, so I slowed down until it passed and when I started around him he gave me the ------. So, I said, maybe you had rather had your butt run over???? People can be horrible. Believe me that is not like me at all but he just really got to me. I had never seen anything like that. |
OH NO SHE DIDNT...I guess I am way more immature...I would have given her my mind...respectfully of course! I can say the one thing I have come to master since moving up to Pa is how to tell someone off without them knowing it...but others around them get it...pure ignorance! I just wish I could bitch slap people...that would honestly make me a happier, more well rounded person:eyetearss...SLAP..."that was because your ignorant", SLAP..."Just trying to get your eyes to roll back down so you can look at me when I am talking to you!" SLAP...:number1ri |

OMG, some people. I am glad I wasnt there, I wouldve been alot more rude. Especially when she made you say "excuse me'. At that point I wouldve barreled over her and her cart in the aisle. Ha ha... Once my mom and I were at walmart and she didnt push the cart allll the way to the cart holder, she kinda just pushed it on the side where the worker was collecting the cart so he didnt have to walk all the way back to get it, and some old guy rude-ly yelled at her "There is a reason they put those cart collecters out here!" I got out of the car and yelled at him "Mind your own business, cant you see that guy is collecting them here?!" Ha ha, my poor mom was so embarrassed! I am sorry, but sometimes the ghetto-ness in me comes out when it comes to someone being mean to my mom. LOL |

OMG! You handled that soooo well! People who park their carts in the aisle are just plain ol oblivions! I think these type people want the attention it brings them because it then gives them the opportunity to 1) be noticed, and 2) give them the opportunity to be rude...then again sometimes they just say I'm sorry...but still...one must think of the other person too when out in public. I think the boy had better manners than his mother did! You should have been given a medal and the whole store applause for your handling of the situation...Alan Funk(t) might have popped out and said "smile, you're on Candid Camera!" I am a very nice and thoughtful person in my dealing with people, but in this type of situation I would have told the woman that now is not the time to attempt to teach manners to her son and if she doesn't move her cart NOW, then the store manager will be brought into this situation...I would have pulled out my cell, called the store and asked for the manager to come to that aisle and if she moved off then I would have followed her, ha ha...I'd be a stalker...oh me, listen to myself...this kind of stuff really gets to me. Guess my pent up anger at having to be nice sometimes just boils over. You did good though...you're mother brought up a really nice person. |

It suprises others too like when a teen will bump into me and give me a dirty look! I get very getto - LIke, you wanta a piece of me? scares them to death! |
I have to say, I'm pretty polite like you too but after her 2nd rude comment, I definitely would've said something like "Well don't park your cart in the middle of the aisle and I wouldn't have to say anything." Or "MOVE!!!!!!" Two wrongs don't make a right but they make you feel better! :D |
I don't think that "lesson" taught her son anything! :( I would have been incapable of saying "Excuse me could you please move your cart" after I had already politely asked him to move the cart two times!! Kudos to you for being the nicer person, but I would have just turned around and gone down another aisle and told her to ... well, enough said! |
