Thanks for the update! Seems like the memo finally reached our gas stations, WE'RE UNDER $3 A GALLON NOW!!!!! Don't remember the exact amount but I do know that I filled up my tank (which was close to almost empty) for less that $30!!!! That made me super happy!!!

That's what's strange. We DO! We even have our own refineries. There's just no reason for us to lag so far behind the rest of the country.

the ethanol blend is the cheapest $1.81-$1.84 around here right now.

The price of gas has nothing to do with the election. It has to do with the economy and demand. Demand is down.

Someone might of already posted this ....I did not read all the post in this thread. About 6 weeks ago Charlotte, NC was completely out of gas and if you could find it was $4.30ish per gallon. Everyone was in a complete panic....including me!! I felt so helpless! Some people were waiting in line for over 24 hours in hopes of getting gas. After days of having to stay home....I was finally able to find & get gas...it was over $100 to fill my car up. These prices went on for several weeks. Between my DH and I ....our gas bill for that month was $500 higher than normal. As of yesterday gas was down to $1.79!!!!!(this was in South Carolina which I live just a few miles from the South Carolina line)

It cost me $42.00 to fill my car up!!

ours in Kansas City, Kansas is 1.97 i believe and that was a few days ago. Ill have to check here in a few mins when i go to the store and see what it is.
