I am so upset w/ the news about John Edward...

I haven't liked him since he found out his wife was ill and still continued to campaign. That said loads to me about his priorities

This guy is an ambulance chaser, nothing more. He's rich because he pretended to channel a dead girls spirit in a courtroom and twelve buffoons bought it. He thought he could get away with it because as a rule they normally do...as long as they're aligned with the preferred idealogy. This should have been reported years ago when it would have mattered. At least he didn't get advice from Ted Kennedy on how to deal with the situation.

My heart feels such sorrow for Elizabeth, and the children. Elizabeth is going to need much prayer as she is having to deal with all of this as well as the children.

As for as John Edwards goes, I don't have one thing nice to say about him now, he needs a good hard kick in the, YOU KNOW WHERE. Yep, right on.

I guess I'm in the minority here - but I see a fellow human being who made a grave, devastating mistake. A mistake that will probably prove to be the biggest learning experience of his entire life - and probably a fork in the road that will teach him a lesson that was sorely needed in his life. I am in shock still about this news...and I really was falling for the guy (tho I'm not even a democrat). When he was still in the running, I made afull on argument about how he would make a great next president. Now with this news, I'm saddened. Elizabeth along with so many other politians wives maintain grace and poise, I don't know how they do it!

Also, I don't get how this is any different then any similar situation of any other politician (and there have been PLENTY)- yet I've never seen those politicians discussed here on YT. I always think it's so sad when adults call other names that remind me of high school. This reminds me of why politics are unable to be discussed here.

I think the only reason this is seen as such an awful thing (to the public) is because he went behind his own wife's back and cheated on her...what kind of leader would that make him for our country?

Of course his family has their long road ahead of them and I wish them all so much happiness in the future and I hope everything works out for them. Edwards isn't in the campaign anymore. As far as I see it, this is a private family issue that needs to be worked out in the family. It has no affect on the future of our country, so we should just leave it alone and give them space and time to heal and move ahead with whatever they're going to do to deal with this. I'm not saying it isn't a huge deal, because it is. and I think it's awful that he would make such a terrible mistake. But I also see that things happen and as human beings we do soemtimes make stupid, inexcuseable mistakes, and all that can be done is to apologize and try to help the people we hurt heal. But I think it would be much better in the long run for his family if they could deal with this privately.

I wasn't surprised cause lately we've been hearing a lot of stories like this come out, and they are human. But i do feel bad for his wife, i don't know much of the story but if she was battling breast cancer, for him to go do that is just sad.
