They are really lovely floors...why did we decide that wood floors needed wall to wall many years ago? I love to watch the home renovation shows where they rip up the old carpet to find hardwood..what a find.

Your floors are beautiful! Love the color too. About the rug...if you have a coffee table on it (that's pretty heavy), then you do not need a pad of it to prevent it from moving.

Oh, your new floor is Gorgeous! That's my dream.....we hope to move some day sooooon? I do have ceramic tile in the kitchen which is nice, but I Hate carpet! I know you must be enjoying it with the furbabies.

I ask the guy who's laying our floor and he said you could just lay a soft material under it. The older carpet and rugs have a jute (not sure of the spelling) back and can actually stick to the floor.
