| For all you women out there quick question Has anyone ever taken a pregnancy test and within the time frame given on the test see that it was negative, but then check the test like 4-5 hours later and see 2 lines? were you in fact pregnant? Now I have read about the evaporation lines but they say they are colorless more gray or yellowish (no pink or blue) This line is blue. thanks for reading

| Hmmm ... not sure ... what do the directions say that came with the test? My sister just had a baby, and from what I understand there is a specific time period during which the stick will show a reliable result. After that time, any changes in the lines are not a reliable indicator. In my sister's case, she had really light lines immediately after dipping the stick ... nothing conclusive. She tested again a week or so later and the line had darkened ... she was pregnant! Maybe wait a few days and test again? |

i think the test says 10 minutes, i know that after the time frame they give you the results are not accurate but was wondering if its ever happened to anyone where it was neg then you looked later and it was positive and were infact preggo. I have 3 children and endless false alarms and i have never had a neg test turn positive after the fact before, wishful thinking i guess

| I did a quick search on google, and ran across this post from a woman who had the same scenario as you. It turns out that she was pregnant! WikiAnswers - If a pregnancy test looks negative after five minutes but after a few hours there is a faint line does that mean you are pregnant |

| aww thanks but its not me! oh nooo LOL its my sister. She has been trying for so long and due to some medical issues has not been able to concieve but shes actually 11 days late and we are praying she is! she took the test, waited 10 minutes didnt see anything and tossed it to the side. when she went to throw it out a few hours later it showed 2 lines. I know they say it isnt valid after the amount of time it states but she has never had that happen and believe me she has taking MANY. we'll see

YT 500 Club Member | Maybe instead of using a blue dye test she should use a pink dye test to be extra sure. She could try First Response and after that Clear Blue Digital. I hope she gets a BFP!

| Im sad to say that she ended up getting her period it was so hard because she really thought she was this time. She has PCoS and has been trying for years with no luck. I was away on vacation when it started coming down and that made it even harder that i wasnt able to be with her. I guess when god thinks its the right time it will happen, thanks for all the good thoughts

| Awww, I was sooo hoping it was positive. Your sister must be so sad. Does she have a Yorkie? I know there's nothing like having a child but my furbabies come pretty close. But I can say that because i've had 3 children. I pray your sister is able to be a mommy one day.
