| ![]() Not much to report..... Emma's visit was uneventful, but went well. I'm told by Emma's doctor, that she is in beautiful condition - is healthy, and continues to thrive. Then to the surgeon - who wanted to take Emma back in to surgery, but I declined. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, he cares so much about helping this little one... but I just don't want any further work done until Emma sees the specialist on Sunday. Her diet remains the same - no changes in meds... we will continue the antibiotics for now. The Dr. at the new hospital said via email, that she was "shocked" by Emma's teeth coming in already, while her current surgeon thought it nothing out of the ordinary. He says he's seen it before in "normal" puppies as well. He trimmed away some of the dead skin around her wounds and said that the "scabby area" will "take care of itself"..... so I am to continue with what I'm doing.

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | ![]() sorry I hit the wrong button, what I started to say was I totally agree with your decision to wait for the special surgeon, even at the risk of hurting the others feelings. You have to follow your heart and your instinct. Hats off to you once again...L |

| ![]() I agree I think it is best to wait on the specialist too. It sounds lke they are considering her size as a factor also. I think you are doing the right thing

Me too! I think I would wait until she is actually walking around rather than shuffling and creeping so there is less of a chance for her to pull on stitches. Also when she is older they can give her anesthesia can't they? Dena I know you hate the tube feeding but you are doing such a great job! Because of theat Emma doesn't absolutely have to have surgery right now. You are wonderful! | |
