Not much to report..... Emma's visit was uneventful, but went well. I'm told by Emma's doctor, that she is in beautiful condition - is healthy, and continues to thrive. Then to the surgeon - who wanted to take Emma back in to surgery, but I declined. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, he cares so much about helping this little one... but I just don't want any further work done until Emma sees the specialist on Sunday. Her diet remains the same - no changes in meds... we will continue the antibiotics for now. The Dr. at the new hospital said via email, that she was "shocked" by Emma's teeth coming in already, while her current surgeon thought it nothing out of the ordinary. He says he's seen it before in "normal" puppies as well. He trimmed away some of the dead skin around her wounds and said that the "scabby area" will "take care of itself"..... so I am to continue with what I'm doing. |
I can't wait to see how Emma's vet visit goes!! |

Dena, |
sorry I hit the wrong button, what I started to say was I totally agree with your decision to wait for the special surgeon, even at the risk of hurting the others feelings. You have to follow your heart and your instinct. Hats off to you once again...L |

Me too! I think I would wait until she is actually walking around rather than shuffling and creeping so there is less of a chance for her to pull on stitches. Also when she is older they can give her anesthesia can't they? Dena I know you hate the tube feeding but you are doing such a great job! Because of theat Emma doesn't absolutely have to have surgery right now. You are wonderful! |
For those of you that would like to be included on Emma's page of friends, please go here and have a look at how it is laid out. Emma Once there, click on the link in the navigation bar on the left that says "My Friends". If you have been there before you may have to refresh the page so the link will work. Then, If you would like to be included on this page, just write what you would like for me to put on there for you. Sammi |
Thank you May!!!! Oh my gosh you guys.... I know that May doesn't like my making a fuss, but Emma just got the rest of her things that May sent to her!!! :happyboun So many beautiful receiving blankets!!! Adorable little crib sheets!!! May, they are all just lovely..... and PAWFECTLY PINK!!!!! :cheer: May was even thoughtful enough to send along treats and toys for the Yorks!!! :angel2dl: (I think that the "bobo" there was supposed to have been for the Yorkies, but Emma just took to it right off, so.... I couldn't help it!! haha). May, everything has arrived except for the lil' lobster... (so cute!!) but I wanted to go ahead and get everything together and snap a photo for everyone! :) Emma and I thank you once more for your kindness and generousity .... this is WAY too much, but have no doubts that she will make good use of every bit!!! :) :2hearts2: :thankyou2 |

DENA!!! The blanket is done!!!! It turned out better than I could have imagined. I have come to figure out though is that it doubles as a blanket and a toy. You will understand when you see it. I am off to Fed Ex to get it shipped. I will PM you the tracking number so you can make sure you know when it is exactly coming. Oh and another thing, you are going to want to wash it. I was going to do that for you but I figured you might be using something special to wash Emma's stuff. There's going to be loose fabric still on it from the cuts and Jack decided to sleep on the blankey as I was making it. I tried my hardest to keep him off but he just wouldn't stop. lol. |

This website is a bit like Emma. It will be gaining weight daily. Although I want to work only on it, I have neglected my menu job and I will need to get those done and delivered within the next couple of days. Be patient with me. (I know you will).;) |

What beautiful gifts from May!!! |
Yes, it’s been quite a busy day, I wiggled and I squirmed Now I think it’s time to rest…… people will look in on me soon, And I want to look my best. Mommy cleans up all my messes and feeds me with a tube Then she smiles, and picks me up, And holds me very near. I heard I needed surgury.. My Mom said that it would be fine. She said it wouldn’t hurt me, Still, I couldn’t help but whine. The Doctors scared me badly, I was trembling with fear, Then my Mom picked me up, And whispered in my ear. It may take a little while, But I know I’ll quickly learn, The Dogtors are here to help me Their going to fix me up when I get a little bigger Ill be able to eat on my own Mommy says I might even be ready for a great big Doggy Bone. I’m still a tiny puppy, There’s lots that I don’t know. But my kind and loving master, Will teach me as I grow. My eyes opend yesterday and I saw my mommys face. Shes just what I exspected. With her loving Caring face If she hadnt took me in Im not sure where Id be today So Im so very very Thankful God sent her on her way I heard theres many people praying and asking God for help I thank you all you people from my little teeny heart. |
