NYC. I hate the Yankees (buys their teams) and Mets (poorly run franchise - worst in baseball IMO)

I am glad you don;t hate NYC.. I love the city.. I could never live there but I love going to shows, clubs, shopping, etc!!

I was born and raised a Yankees fan. I'm sorry you feel this way but the White Sox are not a very good team either. They're below the Yankees. I'm not going to get too mean. I've gotten much better since I *married* a Red Sox fan... yuck.

I admit the Yankees have had much better players before, but they're the Yankees and will rise to the top again. My favorite player is Jorge Posada...which I noticed you failed to mention. lol

I admire your devotion to yet another pair of dirty socks....

the White Sox are finally getting National recognition (including the NYT) as the best team in baseball, so I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

I just can't respect a team who purchases talent instead of building it.

I thought of you this morning!!

Let me begin by saying that I am NOT a sports fan at all. I understand people's enthusiasm, but it's just not me. My theory is "why watch for hours when you can see the highlights at 11."

That said - this morning all over the NYC media was a clip of an 18 yr old guy that fell from way up in the stands onto the net over homeplate at a Yankee/White Sox game last night!

You were the first person I thought of!!!!

The stupified look on his face was hysterical!! He just sat there shaking his head! Then the cops pulled him up off of the net and gave him a major wedgie!! Too funny!!

And all I could think was 'wonder if Stewies Mom saw this' ???

After spending the night in the hospital the cops haulded him off to jail this morning. I'm sure he's in for a long day. And he's probably got a major hangover on top of it all!!

These Yankee fans are way serious when their game gets interupted!

At first, I was really scared for that kid. I was watching it when it happened and thought maybe he got pushed or fell. I was appalled when the cops started roughing him up when he crawled up the net. I was scared for his safety....

but then this morning in the Chicago Tribune, they reported that the kid just wanted to see if the net would hold is weight

Steinbrenner was really pissed off I heard...

I think Steinbrenner was also pissed at Torre for keeping Embree in to pitch for konerko.. Anyway, I'm watching the game and am thinking of all of you (Jennifer, Kristy, etc) 1-1 top of the 7th.. I have to admit its been a GREAT series
