Thirty is young, young, young!! I just turned 35, but I don't feel any different than I did in my 20s!!

So true, I'm going to turn 50 in 1 year, so thank you for the info. I kind of liked the 70's but I know a lot of people hated them. I didn't like the 80's. Now my life is good, getting older is not so bad. I'ts all in your heart. Our age is just a number

Girl, I hear ya! I hit it too this year. (in about a month) I'm pretty depressed about it. Life is just not where I had planned for it to be at this point. There were so many things I had planned for myself to have " accomplished" by 30, and none of them happened. And I thought 25 hit me hard!!!

BTW, whenever someone reminds me that I'm turning 30, I remind them that I am NOT - its' the first anniversary of my 29th birthday. And I plan to continue to have those anniversaries for several years to come.

I like the sound of that

only an hour and 10 minutes before the clock ticks midnight and I am no longer in my 20's.

about to head out with a couple of friends. i keep saying that i am not celebrating my 30th birthday, i am celebrating the last day of my 20's

Nobody really understands until you're "there" just the fact of not saying "I'm twenty-something" is what's bad- I'm not a good influence on this one

on my 30'th I had several pitchers of margaritas told some bad jokes to some ark. people i didn't know & ended up w/a bellyring (friends holding both my hands no less

b/f the night was over... when my friend turned thirty we had some boones & got tattoo's my hubbie was pretty upset-he said everytime you leave I don't know what you're gonna come back with... turning thirty is a b*tch but once you get past the fact of it, it's all good!!!!!

Seriously though, when I turned 30, I finally felt like a "grownup". It was almost like mentally I was telling my self "I am 30 years old.... I can do what I want and not feel like I have to ask permission from anyone". And yes, like someone said above, it really is kinda funny to listen to the younger 20-somethings and ask myself, was I really that way in my 20's??
