| Isn't it crazy how expensive tuition is!? At KSU it's costing me $4500 a semester on average...it will take 6 years for me to get my degree. That equals $54,000! And that's just tuition, that doesn't included textbooks, parking permits, and living expenses that have to be covered by aid.

| Well, I seem to have a bit of a different experience than the rest of you. Just about the nanosecond after I register for my classes I get the bill. Now that health insurance is mandatory (and my health insurance for Miami and the rest of Florida for emergency doesn't count for them) I get tuition AND health insurance bills. I get reminders about my bill(s) ALL the time, but I don't have to pay it until right before/after school actually starts. FASFA is a pain but it's really worth it. I had 100% bright futures and prepaid and I other than living expenses paid for very little. The remainder of my prepaid and an amazing assistantship got me through my first year of grad school. Thanks to FASFA, and the government, I'm getting about $21k this year (and $5k more this summer) for my last year of grad school (tuition and living expenses and it's hard to work when you're full time in grad school). I'm not looking forward to having to pay that off! Eeek! |

| The government is really making it tough right now. We owe around $75,000 or so for hubbys tuition, we got TONS of help with us being married and we still owe that much. He went to a private college. You would think they would make it easier to get a degree...it makes no sense. Why would they make it hard for people to get an education? Also, how they are making it darn near impossible to consolidate! Ugh! Don't get me started.

| Look into the Tuition Answer Loan. It doesn't hurt to try, the application is pretty simple and only takes a few minutes.

| My college is really strange, I applied for financial aid and qualified for a pell grant....well my college told me that I won't get the money from the pell grant untill the end of september. So I had to pay for my tuition and books out of pocket for now.... I guess I should be thankful I will eventually get some of my tuition covered.

| I noticed that too! My tuition gets higher every year. Yet, financial aid gives less! |

| Gee i guess i'm lucky my parents can pay my tuition. I go to Fairfield, and every year tuition goes up, but it's to fund more scholarships and financial aid for kid's that can't afford to pay for school. Annoying for me, but good for the people that need it... |
