Wow they always said everything was big in Texas - the land you've got is to die for - but I'm really surprised about the snow - I was always under the impression that it hardly ever snowed..?

Well I have lived here for 30 years and that was the most snow I have ever seen. We had the most gorgeous BIG flakes and 9 inches!!! Of course it was gone the next day but it was beautiful while it lasted. The grandkids got to actually build a snowman.

I LOVE that! When I was in FL a couple years ago, we spent a few days in The Villages with my friend's aunt. It was SO cool to see how all the pools were set up right by the houses. I'd love that. Of course, knowing myself, I would leave the door open and end up walking into the pool or something.

ALRIGHT PATTY!!! Now, that's how a house is supposed to be built - with the roof that comes out like yours to shade your windows and create that super cool wrap around porch. I heard someone talking about energy efficient houses and he said we should be building roofs that come out just like yours to shade the windows. He said it would save a boat load on cooling costs.

I am blown away by all the beautiful homes. I am also taking some pointers on landscaping and decorating. LOL OH and now I want a POOL!

Mainegirl (I think thats who it was, lol) Your log cabin/home reminds me of what my DH and I will be building in the future. the big stone 2 story fireplace, openess, logs on the inside of living room, dining area, partially logged in the kitchen which will be 2 stories with tons of skylights, but reg walls in the bedrooms, bathrooms. Ok I am sorry enough about me, lol! Just seeing pics of others homes that look like what we want gets me excited everytime, lol! I would love to see more parts of your house if you would share them

how about the outside?!!
