I wondered about that (leaving a circle if the carpet isn't new) - thanks for posting ....and this thread's been interesting....one day in the future I'll probably need a steam cleaner too since I have carpet now

I have this one as well and I swear by it. I had a Hoover cleaner but it only lasted a year, purchased this one and I love it. It never lets me down and the carpet dries very quickly after..AND it gets the tile floors clean and dry in no time!
