| Yes, I've been to Vero Beach. My brother was married there in a Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous wedding. His in-laws lived in a very exclusive community on the beach with golf course, riding stables, chapel, workout facility, and more and more. It was absolutely beautiful there. But I still prefer Florida's gulf side But I have not been to Disney's resort there.

| Yes, I stayed at the Disney Vero beach resort, my brother is a Disney Club member, but it was about 8 years ago. Our whole family went and we had one studio room and one two bedroom room. It was very nice, the rooms were great. They had all kinds of activities for everyone and the pool and beach were great! There was a HUGE sea turtle that would come up right behind the resort each night and she was nesting, it was such an awesome sight to see! Disney does a really good job with all their resorts, I've stayed at the one in Hilton Head as well.

| Our friends have a Summer Home there by the Disney Resort. Their house is literally a couple of doors down from the resort. We stayed at their house last summer and it was so relaxing. The surrounding houses all have pets and people walk their animals along the shore. This year when we go back we will be taking our babies. The turtles were amazing to watch. The surf is a little rough. We are use to South Beach in Miami. We did go one night to have dinner at the resort and it was nice. There aren't many places close by that you can go eat at (we didn't find them). This year I plan to do some research lol. If you are going for some Rest and Relaxation you picked the right place.

| Thanks, everyone! Quote:
Is there a lot to do as far as shopping, restaurants, etc.? We are thinking about splitting a stay between there and and another Florida beach.

| There are several nice restaurants (casual nice, you can go in jeans) on the beach. Shopping is good, usual stores in town but also some very nice and cool little shops on the island and elsewhere around town. The is also a pet park near where I live.

| Hey Kyle....this is only about 35 minutes from me and Nikki - WHOO-HOO. Sorry but in my opinion Vero Beach is pretty quite with not too much to do there but it is very nice at that Disney Resort! I take my mom to the brunch there a few times a year, YUM-O!!
