| We should be on Amazing Animal Rescues! Pita's best friend, Jane, who is an 8 week old kitten was missing last nite. So we went out searching and calling for her, we heard her cries coming from the engine of our truck! So I think I'm gonna open the hood unstick her paw or something and that will be it... NOPE!! This kitty had put her head thro a hole in the wall of the truck (an unmovable, unchangeable wall) and could not get her body the rest of the way thro or pull her head back out. So we got the oil, vaseline, soap, everything we could think of , she wouldn't budge. I called animal control, mind you this is 10 PM, they are not in but the dispatch sends me a cop... no help of course. He calls and gets them to send me an emergency animal control person who is also no help because they carry no drugs or anything on their trucks. Finally, my daughter, who works at an emergency vet, talked her boss into letting her bring me an Ace(sedative) pill which we dissolved and put (part of) into the now, very stressed, kitties mouth which knocked her out enuf to allow us to push her head back out of the hole!! It was like a 3 ring circus, with the policeman, animal control woman, me, my hubby kids, and Pita jumpin all over! We should be on Animal Planets rescues, at the beginning it looked so hopeless for the kityy! The whole thing took 3 1/2 hours and I have no idea how long Jane was in there b4 I found her. The whole time Pita was having fits cuz she could hear her baby crying in the truck! It was amazing I really didn't think we'd get her out alive! Unbelievable! Poor Jane was so greasy when we finally got her out and so was Pita because in between trying to unstick the kitty I was comforting Pita with oily hands. So at 2:00 AM I was in my kitchen bathing a kitty and then I had to bathe Pita!!! AAAHHHH! At least it had a happy ending.... |

| We have a bunch of cats that live in our barn, these particular kitties are special cuz they were being born breech and had to be rushed to the vet in the middle of the night, so they started life stuck in the wrong way! Here's a picture of them when they were smaller... |
