A wedding planner sure would be nice...I think I somehow got nomiated for that position

Amanda (the bride) is trying to do everything herself..well between her and I, I think we are doing EVERYTHING...including making all of the dresses! Don't get me wrong, I support her and will help her with all of it, but I sort of wish she'd take the easy way out of just a few things.

My favorite wedding favor have been homemade CDs of some of the couple's favorite songs together. Of course I'm sure it probably violated some type of copyright law.

Ya know, I'd thought about that too. I think money and time are going to end up being the deciding factors. Like I said before, she has NOTHING done, so I don't know an actual estimate on guest numbers but she's talking around 500 people!

I like Bizzymamabee's idea-in fact, I used it at my own wedding two years ago. Our colors were pink, black, and pearl. I am an only child, and my mom passed away when I was a teenager, (dad has not been around since I was 4), and she was a geologist and master gardener. Her favorite flowers were Cosmos-they are pink and white, and every shade and mix in between. I ordered Cosmos seeds, and packaged them in tiny ziplock baggies. I then made (yes MADE) little boxes/wrappers out of black and white and pink paper-each one different and unique. It took forever, but I loved them! Then I wrote a poem about planting the flowers and watching our love grow, and on the other side my explanation about my mom and the selection of flowers. Everyone really loved them-many of our friends and family have planted them, and they have been beautiful!

I love the tobasco with their own label idea! That would be easy!
I also love the burlap sack idea. YOU could put anything in there.

I also was married in Oct and just had one of the popular bakeries here make cookies.. I got small bakery wax lined bags like 4x6 size and i think they were pink. I got a cute stamp that said just married and stamped every bag.
The cookies were individually wrapped for freshness since they didnt have any sort of preservative. I had people calling me after the honeymoon to ask me where they came from. Some got chocolate chunk and other got my fav cookie...which is oatmeal with an orange icing...yum
also we had a seated dinner so my placecard holder was also a picture holder they could take home

This is going to be a big wedding. There's going to be 17 people up at the alter!

Bride, groom, 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, flowergirl, ringbearer and a pastor. Like I said before, I'm going to completly support all the decisions she makes...but lets just say, when I plan my wedding, a few things will be done differently
