| Thanks, Megan! I was surprised I even got any of the lightning. You should have seen all the pictures of pure black I took! LOL. The delay on the camera is so frustrating, but at least I got a tiny bit of the tail end.

| Please stay safe! With that said, I must admit that I LOVE thunderstorms -- I am fascinated watching lightening and thunder. I just hate it when the weather causes injury or damage. |

| These big lightning storms are very common here in Az. during our summer monsoon season..we should be starting in the next few weeks..I love them too..but is is very scary for the pets.. our windows are huge and at night the whole house lights up with every lightning strike..not to mention the thunder..but I am soo happy we don't get tornados..at least not yet..or I would be outta here..great video.. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Very cool. We get what they call heat lightening and it is similar to that but usually there is no rain or thunder just lighening from the heat.

| We had (I think) that same line of storms come through here too. It was more of a lightening storm the first night. It was crazy. Great video and picture. Hope you all stayed safe!

| I've seen this type of lightning many times growing up in WV. and everyone called it heat lightning. It never did any damage or was accompanied by tornados. I don't think WV. had tornado when I was growing up. Hope you were able to get your moms dog and get back home safely. Please be careful and let us know how your doing. |
