| Anyone ever done this? I am in the unfortunate situation of having to get a part time job. I had two surgeries last year, and between medical bills, the fact that my rent went up and with gas, food, utilities, and all other living expenses going up, I'm just having a horrible time getting caught up. I really don't want to have to get a job where I leave my FT job and go to every night. I also don't want to have to work every weekend. I just don't think I could handle it, and more importantly, it's not fair to Sadie to have to be by herself any more than she already is. So I want to do something from home. In asking for ideas, I've had several people suggest medical billing/coding. When I tried to do a search online about it, it was very overwhelming. Some sites say you have to be certified and go to school, some say you don't. I do have both a BBA and MBA, but have never done anything like this before. I really don't think it would be difficult, but don't have the money to spend to go to school right now. (that's why i need a job!) Has anyone ever done this or know anyone that does it? I am really interested, but don't know where to begin.

| Every work at home thing I've looked into has been scamish. I'm not paying someone to give me a job. You could maybe sign up at a temp agency. I did it for a short while but one of my positions turned into a full time job. Good thing is you can work if you want and say no if you don't . Bad thing is no benefits. I also liked the variety of things I got to do. You don't get bored with your job. Best wishes

| Maybe you could do typing at home.. like Resume's. You could do some free advertising on Craig's list ...in some of the bigger cities or maybe college towns?? If not this...something similar. |

| There are some places who pay people to write test questions and such, and I know that's online. I'll get with my SIL and find out what those sites are. Financial aid for school is not such a bad thing. They even give an allowance for room and board, books, etc... You might look into that. Check with your local community college. A lot of those courses are online now. Hugs. Been there, done that.

| I do typing on the side in the evenings for an attorney for some extra cash. I used to clean my mom's house for her for extra money but then she up and moved to Texas. I did a paper route for a short time and ug, that was some work and then to have to go to work. sucked.

| If you know how to sew nice things.. you could always make dog clothing.. there seems to be a great demand for dresses on these forums.. you could also sell more items of dog things.. get a tax number and order wholesale and sell on your site too..sell stuff on ebay.. gee I do not really know what to say.. it is so hard these days.. people in canada take in foster children and stay home all the time.. it pays well in canada and gives children stable homes..working all day and working out on anther job in the evening or week ends is very hard on a person...that can do you harm being too tired for you day job and be a vicious circle.. anne |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Companion for an elderly person, we pay someone 15.00 a 1/2 hour to get my Dad breakfast and coffee a few mornings a week and also pay her to clean his apartment. This helps my sister and I so we don't have to be there 3 times each day every day and keeps him out of a nursing home. Many elderly love dogs and wouldn't mind if you brought your baby with. You could put up adds in senior independent living buildings and maybe get a few clients at the same place. The girl who does it for my Dad does it as a full time job she has so many clients. Just another thought

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | FTD Flowers has a program where you can work from home doing customer service - you need computer and phone access - I know just what you're going thru - I work full time and work from home too doing the labels and cards ....it used to be a hobby but now it's something I really have to do to stay afloat - I don't make enough at my job to afford my bills either - so I feel your pain.... I think KMart offers the same program as FTD - you can check it out on their sites - some people right here on YT have done it |

| Most medical billing/transcriptionist work...you DO have to have some experience...I think the ones I have checked into wanted you to take so many hours at a local college in this field. When I checked at our local Unv. it was about $5000 for a few months..and the classes were at night. AND then, it said that your name would be put on a list for doctors to get ahold of you.....so, I didn't know if you would get much work or not. There are a lot of home based "selling" jobs, but w/ that, you always have to pay to start up (I think AVON is only $10, but some others are a lot more)...and then, you have to take the time to have parties, you have to sell so much w/in a certain time from (depending on what you are selling..I think MaryKay was about $80 your cost every 3 months or something). Those can be a PAIN! I know Villette mention FTD and K-Mart....I know Sears is suppose to have some sort of work from home, taking orders, etc. like those too. I haven't checked into any of those because I didn't know if you had to keep set hours, or if one day you could work 9 hours or more and the next only two, etc. etc. I will check around too and see what I can find....I would be happy to hear if you find anything that is worth it. Is your online site not taking in many orders? Could you add more items to that? ...and I am very sorry that you are dealing w/ so much right now!
