Soooo..what did you do w/ your stimulus check? I got to thinking...I was curious to see what you spent your stimulus check on? Did you save it? Did you help the economy? What? I know, mine came at the perfect timing...we had our eye appts., had to get two pair of glasses, had our dentist appts. (with mine being an ongoing dentist appt):cool:. So, mine was spent on health....how about you? |

We used ours to pay for our vacation down the shore. We've been going the same place for 20 years. My two sisters each get a house and we get a house all the same week. I didn't see how we were going to afford it this year...thanks Uncle Sam! |
My husband used it to get a cap for his pickup. (I could think of a bunch of better ways to spend it but hey you win some you lose some:D ) |
two questions 1) what is s stiumuls check and 2) do you have to pay for every dental appointment in the US? or just like if you get a filling? |
My boyfriend was in the first group to get his (direct deposit) and at the time he was working a crappy job so we used it on food, bills and getting our tv and internet hooked up (since we had to have a $180 deposit). I thought I was going to get it but my time came and I didn't so whatever! |
My hubby and I decided to save the bulk of it and take a small percentage to spend on each other. That way we get a little instant gratification-;) |

Marcerella the US gov't gave everyone who paid taxes the past year a $600 check (or so) to help stimulate our economy. Some have dental insurance here some don't. Even if you do you still usually have to pay for some of the cost and most health plans won't cover your glasses :( |
I bought 2 pairs of glasses and thought I'd have the rest to play with but ended up using it for Pi'i and his little emergency visit when he ate duck poop and got sick:rolleyes: |

Yes....we have dental insurance, but ours, we have to pay everything "up front" and then we turn the forms in (ourselves - instead of waiting for the dentist office to file them)...we get our refund back (portion that the insurance covers, etc) within 2-5 days. So, it is a pain to have to pay it all up front, but our dental insurance is good...pays a lot of it...just having the money all up front. AND I think dental visits are overly high in my area!! I am buying a new 40" plazma TV. I have already lost 9 channels due to the change over in service. With HD coming in my TV is not equipped to handle it. So if I have to get a box for the new service I may as well enjoy the darn TV and watch it like up dated folks:p If this change over were not taking place a TV would be the last thing I would think about. Money is always hard coming and easy going. Why is that? |
Mine went into Hallie's mouth to get her teeth cleaned :) And it was totally worth it to have sweet smelling kisses now~ |
Mine is in savings to cover my cost ($950 after insurance) for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. |
Built a 2250 square foot play area, under a shade tree, for our dogs and put the rest on a 40" flat screen Samsung TV.:D:D |

Well we got back $2,400( thanks to having 4 kids;) ) and we put some of our money in the bank. I am getting a little girl Yorkie soon and I guess that some of the money will go to getting her:D we also got our boy's a pool too. |
I stimulated the economy:laugh: Just stocked up on stuff and bought some lamps and pictures for our bedroom (finally, it was SO naked in there!!) I tried to save some of it, but well, you know what it's like when there's a killer sale:o |

lets see I paid a bill, got the dogs groomed and used what was left to take to Mall of America which wasn't much!! dh is using his part for our July family vacation at the beach!! |
Not a single one of ya'll have an answer to this question like I do! I bought my little pookie a brother. Yes....that's where I got the money from to get my new little Baxter Baby! I can't imagine spending the money on anything else. Oh yeah...I got some onesie pajamas for them too! |
We haven't gotten ours either, but we are getting new windows in our house, so part is going towards that. We are also fixing a crack in the basement wall & getting shower doors for the bathroom. Plus the 19yr old step-daughter needs a car, so we are giving her some towards that as well. |
