Facing reality ... desperately need your prayers!!
 
Sooo ... I will be leaving early Saturday to drive down to Denver. I have been putting off this request for days ... just didn't want to face the reality I suppose. My very best friend, my sister, my heart, is facing surgery on Monday for cancer. The doctors say it is "not good" after studying all the tests ... they say it has spread, just don't yet know where. I cannot and will not accept this! We became friends, joined at the heart, late in life and I will not believe anything other than we will get through this and she will be fine!! I cannot believe anything else ... am I wrong to be optomistic? I tell her ... we will beat this, we are "Steel Magnolias", tough old birds!!! She says, I have to be realistic! I believe in miracles and God's mercy! She is such a good person with a heart of gold ... she doesn't deserve this!!

Please, please pray for her ... she has to beat this!!

I will join you in prayer for your sister and that God does have a miracle in store for her. I will pray for you to be strong. I am sorry you are in such a difficult place

Bettyeanne I am praying that all goes well with surgery and they can get her well again.
Going thought Cancer now with my gramma and I know the emotions you are going though.... (((((HUGS)))) hun.
You both are in my prayers. Being Optamistic Is good:thumbup:

Ahhhh...Bettyeanne...I'll be praying for her and for you! And no, you are not wrong to be optimistic. Without hope, what is there? Hope is what keeps us going at a time like this and who is to say she won't beat it and be healed? I feel so bad for her, you and the family and will be praying that they find it hasn't spread after all and that it can be treated and she can recover. Miracles still happen and I pray for that for your sister. Hugs to you!

My prayers are with you and your sister. Know how devastating this can be. My family just went through this with my little sis who was up at Mayo for 2 wks. The nightmare ended when she was diagnosed with an infection similar to TB. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her, but so much better. Hugs.

Thank you all so much ... you just don't know how much it means to me to know that my YT family is praying. We have seen such miracles here. She isn't my "blood" sister but my best friend on earth ... I am closer to her than my "real" sister! I will never give up on her!

GODcan defiantly heal her. I had your SAME attitude when everybody had given up on my grandmother, and things looked VERY bleak, b ut she was HEALED taking no chemo. I just left her house a few minutes ago :>)

My heart is breaking for you. I hope your sister does well during surgery & has nothing but posotive results from what they do.
There seems to be alot of cancer at this time... strange how I can go a while without knowing anyone it is affecting then all of the sudden... I know like 3-4 people struggling with it, be it struggling themselves or someone close to them.
I wish you well & if there is anything we can do for you .... as you always tell Kelly & I.... dont hesitate to ask!!! :)

I am praying for a miracle for your "sister". I have a BFF and we have been each others lifeline for 50 years, I know how much they mean to us. Miracles do happen

Bettyeanne - it was heartbreaking to read this post. You will be driving to Denver surrounded by Guardian Angels and your "frister" friend/sister will be cradled in the loving arms of our Savior as she starts her journey down the road to recovery. You KNOW that angels will be watching over her during her surgery and will aid in her recovery.

Betteanne - your sister and your family are in my prayers -

I truly believe you have such a positive outlook that YOUR presense may just be the medicine she needs.....you aren't a tough old bird but you ARE a strong woman - though I do like the Steel Magnolia reference.....

HUGS and have a safe trip and please let us know how she is after her surgery - sending thoughts and prayers and a big hug

Please don't ever give up one her! I don't think it's foolish at all to remain optimistic, in fact I absolutely admire it. It's easy to get depressed and give up- I think it's the truly strong who are able to keep faith.
