I'm so sorry. My prayers are going out for you! |
im so sorry to hear this-for anyone. you are in my thoughts and prayers. stay optimistic for your sister, and for yourself. remember, there have been plenty of times the docs have given little hope to someone only to see them defy odds and live for years beyond what was thought. the doctors are just guessing, and thats all they can do-Let God do the rest for her. |
I'm so glad to read the update and that they got all the cancer! That does seem like any awfully long time for her to be having chemo and radiation. She didn't mean "weeks," did she? Here's a suggestion for you to pass on to her. Start using Nioxin shampoo and also the scalp treatment conditioner. There have been people on chemo that use that and didn't lose their hair. Hugs to you and your sis!!! |
Bettyeanne, I am just seeing this and so sorry I wasn't there for you through all those difficult days before the surgery. YT prayers are the best, along with the people saying these prayers and I hope your sister continues to improve. So glad it didn't spread:) Hang in there, things are looking up, just wish I could give you a big hug. Joan |
Keeping you and your sister in my thoughts and prayers. |
Update on my "Gal Pal"! The past few days have been so hectic I haven't updated. She is doing pretty good but, she has gotten a cold! Just talked to her ... if her temp goes up to 100.5, she has to go back to the hospital. She has an appointment with her doctor Monday at 4. Please pray that everything will be fine and she can come back home ... I miss her! Her hubby brought their motorhome & her five babies back home to GJ. One of her tiny ones started throwing up so I ran over, got her and took her to our vet. He did blood panel, x-rays, etc. and found nothing out of the norm except her glucose was a tad low. His suspicion is they are all missing their Mom and he thinks this little one is suffering from Stress Colitis. He gave her a shot for the nausia, some fluids and sent some meds home. We just got home from checking on her and except from being a little "laid back" from the medicine, she seems fine. I gave her a few little licks of NutriCal just to make me feel better! We will be back over there tomorrow ... our vet told me if the throwing up continues over the weekend, to get her to the ER, which I will. This is a little disjointed, but I'm so worried. Please keep my "frister" in your prayers!! I appreciate you all so much and I know that prayers will help more than medicine at this point. |
Thanks for the update. You are such a sweet person. I hope the fever goes down quickly and her furbaby improves swiftly as well. Prayers for all of you. And lots of hugs. |
The whole GJ gang is in my prayers. Your "frister", you, Patrick, your frister's hubby, and all the furbutts. It is my hope and prayer that life for all of you will return to a healthy normal. |
more prayers coming your way for everyone. may god be with all of you! |
I sat and read your post with tears streaming down my face. My heart is aching and breaking for you & I pray to God in heaven that he touches your sister and heals her of this awful dreaded disease. We just got a call today, my husbands brother has been fighting for two and a half years now against cancer, last year they removed all they could and put in a bag he has to wear. Today, the sad news came, the doctors are giving him 2-4 months, so, tomorrow we are going over to Mikes to try and be as strong as we can be for him, which right now, shwewww, it's really hard. Getting the news about Mike, then getting the news from the vet today about Dottie and what he found doesn't look good at all and is more than likely cancer, it's been one h*ll of a day. I don't know your exact pain but I know what my husband is going through and I pray that God gives you the strength and courage to get through whatever life throws at you. |
I should have read through all the posts before I replied, sorry about that. I'm so glad your sister came through the surgery and all seems to be well, this is wonderful news!! I'll continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers as well as you, I know you're probably still so stressed. I'll also keep her furbaby in my prayers as well. |
Bettyeanne, you know I have been praying for your sister and mymind is not with it and what I should be checking on these days but I have my list and pray every night.:heart to Luv Ya and the yorkies will be included since it sounds like they could use some prayers. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork Hang in there, I wish there was something I could do to ease your worry but it seems it is just part of love. |
You guys are amazing ... I appreciate your prayers so much! She really perks up when she hears about her babies! I could just hear the relief in her voice when I gave her a good report on her little one that is sick. I will be so happy for all of them when she is back home and things get back to semi-normal. Tracy, thank you for your sweet post. I am so sorry about your hubby's brother and little Dottie. We lost Patrick's brother to cancer several years ago and I still miss him every day! He was my buddy, my favorite! It was similar to what you described and just so quick, there was no time for any of us to even consider ourselves "prepared". I will keep you all in my prayers ... God bless you all. |
So sorry you are having to go through this. My prayers are with both of you. I too, believe in miracles. |
Betteanne, It is so wonderful your sister is doing well. She sure has many people who love and care for her sending her well wishes and prayers......I wish her continued good news and I hope she is through the worst........Please tell her we all are rooting for her that she kicks the "Big C's" butt..... |
