what is this dog wearing? -funny pic

I saw a few dogs at a recent show wearing scarves like that.. but not the boots. There were a few wet areas at the show so that's probably why they wear the boots, to avoid getting their paws dirty and wet. The dog kinda looks like an old lady in that outfit but I think she's a beauty.

The scarf and boots reminded me of a Romanian peasant.
I'm sure it is practical. The dog is adorable.
I put my dog in a dress harness that looks kind of silly.

Its an Afghan Hound. So pretty. I think maybe she has the boots on because the hair on their feet is grown out pretty long? Love it.

P.s. I get comments all the time about Stewie wearing a ponytail or a tee shirt. It has kind of calmed down lately because he is "nude" during the summer - its just too hot here for tees and jackets, etc.

Thats what I thought. THis dog reminds me of my grandma. I am not sure what the boots are for. But I had never seen dog boots go up that high on a dog.

I went to a dog show here once and I saw the same thing and asked the breeder why she wore that and she said that it's to keep their ears and fur clean before they go in for the showing.She also said "the price we pay for beauty"I thought if looked funny but I guess it has a pupose.It seemed like she wasn't the only breeder that wore that for their dogs.Cause I saw a lot of them.
Maybe I should get that for my dogs when they go outside and play
