we live in TN...here that is called Souse Meat......my hubby loves it like a sandwich......what we here in the south called hashbrowns up in PA some call that Scrapples.......weird how things get called different things ....and how different things get called the same....lol

Hmmmm. Scrapple is pretty much from the PA area. My son-in-law is from New Jersey. I would think it would get very confusing if both hashbrowns and that 'other' stuff were called scrapple. I know if they set it down in front of me when I was expecting hashbrowns, I would be looking for the door!

I like to eat scrambled eggs and ketchup it's a midwestern thing.. I've met tons from the midwest who do it but hardly any outside of it.

oh heres one you should try.. my friend taught it to me and I taught it to my husband.. You have to be at wendy's to do this but we dip our fries in our frosty's

I eat eggs with ketcup, i didnt know that was weird. I also have dipped my fries in a frosty before, i dont do it regularly but my cousin did it and made me try it and it wasn't bad. The diff tastes went good together. I also eat lemon with alllll my vegetables, lemon and salt that is or i cant eat them.

My mom introduced me into Coffee Soup when I was little. She hated real coffee so it was always the instant kind. You make 1 instant cup of coffee...hot of course then take 5-6 saltine crackers and lay them in a bowl. Pour the coffee over the crackers, but not all of it, you need to save some for the next bowl, it doesn;t go very far lol! Then have a big ole bowl of sugar ready and spoon like 2-3 tbs over your cracker and coffee mixture and chow down! By the time you get to the end of the bowl the crackers are really smooth and weird feeling in your mouth, lol! It is good though i tried to make it for my kids and they said they weren't that hungary for breakfast and left the kitchen!!!! Brats, anyways!

I eat tamales with sprinkled sugar...(you can tell my mom did everything possible for me to eat my food as a child)
Cow tongue stew...(haven't had this since the late 80's)
spinach omelet sprinkled with sugar...( I love spinach in any form)

My hubby teases me all the time over this...

My son-in-law eats something called scrapple, which I had never heard of until one of my Jersey trips. UGH!!

I grew up in Illinois and grits were a breakfast dish with sugar and milk, but I love cheese grits, which my older sister makes. I also love boiled peanuts, which I never tasted until I was grown. I couldn't eat scrapple or something called headcheese because of what's in them or limberger cheese because of how it smells. I love asparagus and brussels sprouts and avacadoes, which some folks here in East Tennessee aren't too fond of. I like avacadoes to eat fresh, not in a dip. I can't stand the smell of squirrel or duck or deer meat. My father didn't go hunting and I didn't develop a taste for wild game. And I can't stand sardines. I can't eat anything that looks back at me! And even though most people in Tennessee love okra, sorry, I can't stand it. Boiled okra is the nastiest stuff I've ever seen.

I love sour cream on omelets. Is that weird? I get omelets out sometimes or make them at home with lots of veggies and turkey lunchmeat and then dip the bites in sour cream! Its like it completes the meal! haha

Sometimes I get bored with food and want to get something new & different but most other food makes me say 'eewww weee' !! I had an ex who ate canned octopus in a slimy red liquid on crackers! OMG... we lived together and were together for 10 years and that had to be the grossest thing I ever saw. His whole family ate that. There would be cans of it in my cabinets! yyyuuucckkk I wouldn't let him kiss me after he ate it, he had to brush his teeth first! haha

Octopus! That is most sertainly an Eeeeee-ew!!

I think everyone puts sourcream on lots of different foods, eh? I hate sourcream unless it has some dip mix in it. The flavor of it alone is yukky to me.
