| I like it when it rains and the sounds of thunder too....I draw the line when the lightening looks like it might send a bolt into the house or into a nearby tree....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | We are having them too and my dtr is on her way to work an hour away and called me freaked out, she had to pull over it was raining too hard to see and the lights went out at the gas stations she was pulled over at and she hates storms and is freaking out. The tv said that the lightning was cloud to ground and very dangerous. I don't mind storms when we are all safely at home but I don't like being out in them.

| I'm glad someone is happy with them...we're not! The lake level is up and the water has nowhere to go...many of the docks around the lake are under water and some boats are too. The marina is closed because of high water so you can't get your boat out...we're at the mercy of Mother Nature right now. Our dock is normally about 3 to 4 feet above the water level with 3 piers that go out in the water that are a little lower. Well...as of last night the water is up on our dock and the piers are under water. We have the pontoon boat tied loose so it can float up and down and it's a good thing we have bumpers that run along side the piers or our boat would be sitting on one of them and the shade canopy frame work is keeping the boat from floating up on the dock. Some of the boats that are in lifts are pushed right up to the canopy that covers them...I hope they're tied too or they could float right off the lift. Thank goodness our ski boat isn't in our lift right now. It does look like it's going down a tiny bit in the last few hours though so maybe things will look better later today. Enjoy your storms...they are beautiful but in limited amounts! |
