Getting New Wood Floors...Need Help Picking Out Which Color To Choose!

Do you own one or have you ever used one before? It really does sound fabulous! I was thinking of getting one of the Shark Steam Mops...but maybe something like this Bissell would be better? Girl, your floors are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Both of them are gorgeous, before AND after! The color you chose looks fabulous in your house...I love it! And can I just say, I LOVE the chair in your living room...so pretty! You have my taste, lol I want to get a new couch and an over stuffed chair for my living room...I would love nothing more than to find a Pomegranate colored couch with a floral pattern...that's my dream lol. We just went and bought a new area rug for the living room and we will be getting our new coffee table and matching end table on Friday (they have to order it). It has some wood with a glass top and wrought iron as well...I love it!

Anyway, yes...the floors we are getting are the vinyl wood planks...I absolutely love them. Everyone I know that has them said that they are very easy to keep and don't scratch or dent easily - so I am excited about that They are also great for pets because if they have an accident (pee), the floors won't bubble up or buckle like some flooring does. But anyway, I will most definitely take pictures for you when everything is finished and I will let you know how I like them They are here installing them now...my carpet and tile is all ripped up and everything in here is one big MESS! I'll try to sneak a few pictures and show their progress.... LOL.

Thanks girl! We went with the darker flooring...they are here installing it all now so I will be sure to take pictures and post them when everything is finished and my house is all put back together lol

Sounds great girl! I would love to see pictures after it has been installed ALTHOUGH...they are already here putting my new floors in, LOL. They arrived here at 8:15 this morning and are still working like busy little bees These guys are so nice and are so darn funny, LOL. They said that my living room will most definitely be finished today...but they aren't quite sure about the kitchen and hallway. They said that whoever put my kitchen floors in (YUCK!!!!! I HATED that crap! LOL) did a REALLY good job because it was stuck down VERY WELL LOL....so they are kind of having a TIME getting it out of there Poor guys...there are 3 of them over here and more are coming I gave them all something to drink and turned on some music for them...they are just as sweet as pie and they love my babies, LOL!

Anyway, I am just blabbing now...I am so excited and I can't wait until I see this floor down in my house I will be posting some pictures of what they've done so far...but it's not anything NEAR pretty yet - LOL!

I'm in the process of picking out my floors too! I have white carpet and 2 furbutts. If you have dark furniture I think the lighter would look the best. Your paint seems to pull out the color variance in the lighter blending in with your wall better. I love the dark too though. I think either one you choose will be fine. The light is not really what I call light, it's still in the dark family. Are you going with a solid cherry or oak, or are you doing an engineered? My furniture is all traditional cherry, so I'm really torn. My husband wants light oak. This is supposed to be fun, but it's kind of scarey. If I make a wrong choice I have to live with it! Good luck!

LOL that's ok sweetie They are actually here doing the floors now (see pictures a couple posts above lol) - it's a MESS! But I know that it'll be worth it At least I hope so! I did go with the dark...everyone that saw the floors in person agreed that the dark would look the best, and I think so too (I'm praying LOL). I will post pictures when everything is all finished and good luck deciding on your floors...I tell you, chosing a color can make you crazy!
