| Please pray for rain! AS many of you may remember I re-lanscaped my entire yard with new sod and about 15 new trees last spring. I am about to see $10K dry up and wither away We need rain so bad. Because of the drought I am only able to water one day a week Even with that my water bill was 265 last month because they are trying to discourage water use... each tier of water use, the price goes up. I paid more than i pay for gas per gallon for the last tier. WE have just worked so hard to lose it now. it was 103 degrees today Please pray for rain! Last year we hardly had any rain. There is already a tropical storm out there... Coooooooooome on rain! Thanks in advance |

| We are in desperate need of rain too. We went to Pensacola last weekend, and I thought the sprinkler system was set, but no, hubby had turned them off and forgot to turn them back on automatic. I got home and some many of my plants were just crispy. We're on water restriction too, one day a week. In addition, the wild fires are scary too. No hope of rain the rest of this week either, maybe next. Praying for rain...I really can't remember what it even looks like. |

| I know what you mean! We are sweating it out down here too! My mom's house in San Antonio has burn spots in the grass and her flowerbeds are hurting! I am worried about her sanity if it does not rain soon!

| I bet your yard looks beautiful. I would be praying for rain if I were in your situation also. I hope you get a good soaking soon. If I could, I would send some of our rain down to you. Wow, that's a BIG water bill.

| I think if you do a jig in your underwear under the light of a full moon in an odd numbered month you should get rain! Is that how it goes? I hope and pray you get some rain SOOOOONNN!!!

| I don't know how my f-i-l did it, years ago, he rerouted the water from the washing machine to the backyard. This gave extra water for landscaping instead of down the sewer. Maybe this would help if you could collect the extra water and use when needed? I have also seen "tree bags" that you fill with water and place around the base of the tree. Water drips around the roots slowly so that way the tree benefits from slow watering and the water doesn't evaporate so quickly. Good luck! I love gardening and understand not only the money aspect, but the time and effort it takes.
