We got back from Aruba late Sunday. It was such an amazing trip! Aruba is a crazy mix of beach/ dessert, palm trees/ cactus- so cool! The people there are so friendly and lucky for me they all speak english. We rented a 4 wd for 4 days and just explored like crazy. We drove all through the mountains which do not have any real roads to speak of and it was the scariest fun I've ever had. Here are some pics- isn't it beautiful?

OMG .... you lucky duck. The pictures are beautiful. You and Troy look like you had a wonderful time. I for some reason thought Lauren was going with you. Even better you guys had alone time....VERY lucky! :p

The water is gorgeous and you look beautiful Nikki! Oh and make sure Troy knows he looks handsome as always! LOL!!! :D

So happy your home though. I bet those furbabies missed you! :D

It looks a lot like Curacao (I guess they are right next to each other). So pretty!

WOW Nikki!!! its soooooooooooooooo BEAUTIFUL!! I dont think I would want to come back either... (because I would want to bring Gracie with me) but she would be my ONLY reason for going back home... lol looks like soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun!!! Im soooooooooooo JEALOUS!!! and you are gorgeous too! ;)

Yep they are alot alike. Curacao has better snorkling I think. We did one trip and it was just okay. I was just happy to have a chance to get dumped out in the ocean so I was happy anyway.

My parents have a timeshare in Curaçao, I believe it is pretty close to Aruba. I can't wait to go on vacation there. Seeing your pictures makes me want to go so bad!!

Thanks to you both.:) My daughter was back at home, otherwise I would have been tempted to stay forever. I kept telling my husband that I wanted to pretend to be an amnesiac so nobody could make me leave.:p

Yep, they are neighbors. Kyle's been to Curacao and has some great pictures.

It's wonderful to see someone having a wonderful vacation dispite gas prices and more.
So glad you both had a nice get-away alone. It's so important. Looks like you both got a lot of sun, but I suppose it would be difficult not to there. :D

Buying gas there was funny. It is priced in Florins and sold by the liter. I'll be darned if I could figure it out.:p

I was afraid Sugar was going to drive everyone crazy. Sometimes if I'm gone for a whole day or am out late, my daughter will tell me he starts moaning. He ended up doing great. He attached himself to my mother and didn't seem to even realize I was gone. Maybe we have similar scents? I was relieved he didn't get crazy but I have to admit, it surprised me how easy it was for him.

WOW...the water looks amazing and the sand looks so soft and white!!! Were you at all scared there or did you at all feel unsafe there? Every time I think of Aruba all I think about it the girl that went missing.

I was thinking of that also. Did you hear or read anything about that poor girl that went missing? I know it's been a while though.

Your pictures are great. :coolpics: I liked the caption on your last photo. That's how I feel everytime it's time to go back home from a vacation. You & your hubby are a nice looking couple.
