| HELP!!! Flea bites!! :( :( Lately, I've been waking up with flea bites on my body. I have cleaned just about everything (Linens, etc)--even went out and purchased new pillows--and still am getting them! Daisy gets her Advantix once a month (We've never had this problem before)..The only thing I can think of is the carpet in our bedroom. It gets vacuumed regularly . Is there a carpet cleaner I can get to effectively kill them all if they are on my carpet?? Please any suggestions/ advice would be helpful and appreciated!! Please,,I'm itching like mad!!

| I don't know about carpet cleaners, but if you really want to get rid of them for sure, then you should bug bomb your house. When I lived in Cali, we had THE WORST infestitation of fleas & we had to bug bomb our house. After that we never had fleas ever again. The bug bomb stuff we bought we got from Target. -Amy

I have a young baby too and wouldn't want any toxic stuff lingering around where she can touch it. Also, I'm the only person in the house getting bitten! They never get hubby and baby's got none either.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I didn't ever find flea bombs very effective. You can buy boriac acid...it's a powder. Sprinkle it into the carpet, then brush it in. It will eliminate the fleas immediately and continues to kill any new ones that may get in the carpet.

| Unfortunatly while a bomb is the most effective way to get rid of them they are toxic, If you type the word fleas in the search here a lot of threads come up that should be helpful |

| I would call an exterminator. Tell them you have a baby and that will determine what they can use. Fighting them yourself is a losing battle, IMO Flea bites are awful!! |

| A few quick things I've heard but I don't know how effective they are. Put a flea and tick collar in your vaccuum bag that way any fleas you pick up will die in the bag. Also, you can sprinkle table salt in your carpet and brush it in. Wait a few hours before you vaccuum it up. One last tip is to put a small dish of water with Dawn on the floor at night under a small light (night light and green works best) the fleas will be attracted to the light and fall in the water and then the dish soap kills them. Again, I'm not sure how well they work, but they are fairly holistic approaches. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Don't let the name boriac acid scare you off. It's a product routinely used in horse barns to control flies.

| I'm in the same boat you're in! We bombed our house and it did nothing! We used Adam's fogger plus. I did the soapy white dish and a lamp and that didn't work either. Our animals are also on Frontline Plus and this is the 2nd house we've had a problem in. I'm definitely looking for a new flea prevention. We just put boric acid down last night. Hopefully it'll work. If you find something that works, PLEASE!! pm me!

| OK y'all, so I went to the store and bought RAID flea carpet spray. Just sprayed the bedroom. I also saw the "Boric Acid" but it said it was for roaches and flies. I see here some of you wrote 'Boriac acid' and some wrote 'Boric acid'...are they both the same? If I get that stuff will it work with fleas? Thanks I really appreciate your responses!! Please keep them coming,, I'm itching like a monkey!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I have more bad news sweetie - you'll have to re-treat - the flea eggs are what's on the floors / carpets /bedding etc and from what I read this morning about them is they can live for 2 freakin months ! it makes me itch thinking about those nasty nasty blood sucking worthless jumping biting scumbag creatures |

Arrghh, I even went and bought flea shampoo for Daisy. She's not too happy right now. I bathed her and put her in her crate--while I'm cleaning. lol
