Personalized license plates
 
I was thinking of getting some but I can't figure out what to get or if it's a dumb idea. Here in WA we also can get specialized plates. We have a pet one with a goofy dog and cat on it that I want. I was thinking TIGRWIT but I wonder if it's too kidish or something. I'm almost 40, and I drive a 2007 Toyota Corolla.

Any ideas?

:)Hey, I'm going to be 40 in December,so what. It's not immature,go for it. I like it. I've always wanted personalize plates. I 'm going to look into it. I see them all over,but don't know what half of them mean...that's the fun of it

I love personalized plates. I used to have them and I still kinda do, I am through an organization now. Sometimes it's the only way I could find my car! I love trying to figure them out whenever I see one. There are really some clever ones out there. Go for it, it's fun! :)

Go for it. I got some for hubby for his 38th birthday and then said shoot why shouldn't I get some for me...I got mine...love them.

My plates say: 2 PUGSZ
Thats because I had two pugs, there up in August and everyone keeps teasing me that I should switch them to PUGLESS!:eek:

I had them...but decided I thought paying an extra 10 bucks to have them...was stupid. I am officially old. :rolleyes:

Wow $10 is good...I think in NY it's between $25-$40 depending on the plates.

Yeah that's great. I think initially it's going to cost me about $100 to get the specialized plate and personalization. I'm not sure what then to maintain it. ???

My goodness that is a great priceover here the cost anything from £250 upwards which is about $500 up :eek:

Omg, you're kidding???? I really don't remember what ours cost initially but it wasn't any 100 bucks. The 10 dollar fee was in addition to the regular cost of the tags.

The initial cost is $40 then there is the extra fee when you renew. I think it cost $100 and up if you don't have plates already and are getting them right off as your first set of car plates.

My SIL got some for her porche...they said, IMNXTC. I thought that was cute. :D
We have the pet friendly plates in texas too. I would like to get those. Sure helps find the yorkie taxi in a parking lot! :rolleyes: I think i need PAK-LDR on mine:p
Maybe you could start a thread to get suggestions on the plates...we can only have 6 letters/characters.

Haha..that's funny! I love personalized plates, b/c it's fun to try to figure them out! I want one (had one about 10 yrs ago, but it was so boring...kinda cute if you knew the background, but basically not all that!) but I can't think of anything cute to put on it! I saw one the other day that was BZBZBZ....I thought that was so cute!!! That's the one I want, LOL!

It looks like it's $49.75 for a personalized plate in Washington, then $32 a year extra to renew:

WA State Licensing: Personalized plates

Certain letter combinations are not allowed, but the on you want Tiggerwit, is available. :)

You also have to add in for the specialized plate. It's $40 and then $30 for renewal. So now I'd be $62 for renewal plus the regular tab charge I think.

Definitely go for it!!!! One plus with personalized plates it you always know your plate when asked for it!!!!

I've had mine for a few years now. It reads: YOGINEE (a yogini is a female yoga instructor - but that spelling was taken)!!!!! I think I pay an extra $32/year to have the personalized plate (or should I say hubby pays)!!!!
