Tiggerwit: I THINK it's limited in the number of characters you can get if you get a specialized plate though. I think maybe up to 5 letters/numbers total? Doesn't look like room for more there...

I've actually never see a custom plate design that's personalized, but the WA DOT site says you can do it..

The max was 8 letters/numbers combo.

The plates are fun...they are a little bit of guilty pleasure for us adults. I like having mine because I know my car...lol.

:eek: hey i am going on 59 and i have the very Lic. Plate on my F-150 4x4 and if i could find a yorkie one i would have it, the good part of being older is... i dont give a rats .... what anyone thinks of me....;):D

Yeah, here in Texas it's $40 extra $ also. I won't shell it out. My hubby is the one who gets personalized, so we pay about $120 a year for his plates (with the xtra $40 in there). I'm old too I guess. LOL! :rolleyes:

What's yours say? Maybe I've seen you around. :) Actually I think we live far from each other.

I've always wanted a personalized one. here i think the regular tags are $25ish then the personalized ones are about $20 more.


i really wanted a personalized one this time, but at the time i had to buy it i barely had enough money to cover the tag, much less the extra... maybe next time.

i think the personalized tags are really cute and fun!

LOL...BZBZBZ is kiddish???? Understand that this was on a big honkin' Lexus and I live in what's called "the playground of the presidents"...meaning that about 90% of the population is wayyyyyyyyyyy over 60...it's what the guy who owns and performs in the Palm Springs Follies refers to as "God's little waiting room", ROFL.....

I'm 23 and I have a personalized license plate. Mine reads: Pinky TL
I have an acura TL so that's where the TL comes from, but once I change my car, I'm sure I'll change my license plate as well. Pinky is just a nickname a friend gave me awhile back.

In VA the cost is $10 extra on top of the normal tags fee and then $10 for renewal every year.

I think you have to decide what either YOU'RE all about or something about the car....i've seen one of those lime green VW bugs with a plate that says "Lil Pea" on it and a coral colored one that has one that says "SNDRNCD" (sundrenched) and another one that says "JZPCHY". I have a friend who has a yellow Tbird convertible that first said "TWTYBRD". I've seen Jaguars (which is what I"ve got) that say "JNGLKTY", "DSRTCT" "MEOWWWW", and some other things that pertain to a jaguar. I wanted "HRKTKT", but I think it's taken too....geeze, all the ones I think of are taken:(. Of course, I chose one for my dh which would have been "2DRNK2DRV", but it was too long, ROFL. He didnt' think it was very funny anyway. We have some friends who love wine and they've got "2WYNOS" on theirs. Just stuff like that...what you're into.

I know I know, she's just that way. LOL My youngest said that it could be interpreted as "Beezy" which is slang for B*TCH. of course I replied that it would then be totally fitting. LOL :p

Here in Michigan,alot of Yorkie ones are taken. We finally got MYORKIE .we can have 7 letters now. when I got mine 25 years ago it was 6,so mine says BEATLS,I had to apply for BEATLES when 7 became available and someone beat me to it! Of course we know it's pronounced my yorkie,but my dumb neighbor says "oh my orkie ,you like Robin Williams? (mork from ork) LOL

A co-worker of mine went to Iowa State (Cyclones), and has an Iowa State plate, which says DCYNR

I think it's so cute :) Her DH got it for her birthday this year.

My grandparents used to own and run a pick your own strawberries businesss-hundreds of acres...their plates used to say "BERRIES"

I've had a personalized plate for years - JUSAGRL. I also have a plate on the front of my car with a Bichon on it. Years ago I had "TX2STEP." That was when I danced a lot!

I have one and absolutely love it(but I don't want to post my license plate online).

Anyway, my dad had one that said IM EASY. That's fine for him but sucked for my college age sister who had to borrow his Jeep for one week! Just imagine a college girl driving around with that on her car :eek:

Live 16 miles east of Vancouver, and not very often in your area,so i doubt you seen me. Sticking close to home these days;) My plate does not say anthing , just a no.

We had friends in Mississippi years ago. They were young and were big Mississippi Bulldog fans. She wanted a license plate plugging her favorite team, so ordered MSDAWG. She was thrilled with it until someone said "Miss Dawg??????" She made her husband switch vehicles with her until it expired and she could get rid of it.

When I had my Mazda 10 years ago I had plates that said K:love:BRIAN They were the "Kid" plates, they had a heart, star, hand print and... some otehr symbol, I forget.... But it was a super cute way to tell the world how much I loved my hubby! Although he wasn't my hubby at the time, he he he. :p
