Whilst the atmosphere may not have been the most magical for his marriage proposal it was exactly what I have always wanted.

Thanks everyone, now I need to choose the date. I told him I'd like it done in 14 months time but he said that's too far away and he wants it faster than that. LOL That's my baby!!!
