| Well, what we did was got new wireless thru Verizon.(used to have Cingular/At&t...AWFUL service) So anyway they told us if we merge our home phone(which has been Verizon for years) we get a discount. So, we called and now we are getting Fios for the TV and Internet. I'm excited! They said our internet will be faster (we had Comcast). I was really wondering about the TV. They said we would have like 200 channels. Any problems with your tv boxes? I really don't know anyone who has it yet. We didn't even know it was in our area yet. But anyway we got a good price which includes home and cell phones, TV, and internet for like 115.00/mo. We ended up saving alot by having everything in one place. And Comcast seems expensive anymore. One question I really want to know is ...Comcast had a good anti virus that was free. Do you know if Verizon does. Thanks for your help.:

| I have Verizon Fios internet, tv and phone. I like everything except the tv. With Comcast I had digital on one tv and regular cable on my bedroom tv. With Fios you need a digital box for every tv. This adds to the monthly fee. You also need to pay more to get Encore etc. I got more channels with Comcast. Comcast also has more free movies. On the other hand Comcast has lots of problems with their internet service.

| One more question. As Comcast does, does Verizon have a free virus protection program?

| I can answer that for you, they do not have a free virus program.. they do offer an internet security suite for an additional cost. I myself use avg free

| Thanks. One more question, I swear! Where do they install? Outside or the basement. Just wondering where they had to go.

| It's ok... really. The installation depends on where your services currently come in your home. They have to place a piece of equipment called an ONT and a Battery back up unit, the Battery unit will be inside somewhere. Ours is in our garage right next to where the NID was for the copper phone services. Then they ran ethernet from that to where we were having a jack installed for the internet. It went through our basement and then a hole drilled into the wall for the jack. We don't have fios TV available here yet so I don't have that some day. Really, the installation tech's are all very good about discussing the installation process and working with you to place everything. If they aren't talking to you about it before doing it then ask them where it will be run.
